  1. I found this article while catching up on the news back home. Congratulations, clearly the awards/honors were very well deserved. http://www.lohud.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article...EWS02/809190413
  2. I have always wondered why they do not do all of the elections on the same day.
  3. That things is huge...how much is it expected to weigh when fully loaded?
  4. Congratulations to all of those who were hired/promoted. Good Job. http://www.lohud.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article...EWS02/810020492
  5. Terrible, terrible end. RIP LT Pigott
  6. agreed, I second that

  8. That Seagrave tractor drawn rescue is incredible. Awesome shots.
  9. Martha Stewart and Ralph Lauren live in Katonah, not Bedford Hills or Bedford Village. Martha Stewart is the largest landholder in the Town of Bedford.
  10. Thats not a valid point about KBHVAC needing the bay, according to mark-ups of plans I have seen, KBHVAC is practically doubling its quarters. I believe I saw plans for a new bay plus more office and lounge areas as well as more parking. I believe there was an article about it in the record review. I will try and find the information.
  11. I showed this article to a friend of mine from Long Island and he said that this is something like what the VFDs on the island would do. You know the one with 3 multimillion dollar houses, 6 pumpers, 2 ladders, a heavy rescue and 10 chiefs for a 100 man department and 2 flat screens on every floor of every house.
  12. If anyone remembers back to history class, the reason for the "First" Great Depression was too many people buying too much they could not afford on, what else but, credit. This country needs to come up with a few good answers really quickly, and this bail out package/bill is/was not the answer. The only answer is a change in market mentality, consumer trends and time. I just hope that there is an end in sight and that I do not need to learn a new language in conduct business anytime soon.
  13. Oh yes there are. I can not believe that another individual from the shallow end of the gene pool did something like this again!!!!!!
  14. I do not believe that all Bedford tax payers are going to have to pay for this. Because of the arraignment of fire districts, the Bedford Hills Fire District residents would be the only ones paying for this. But this is only based on what I know because I hope that is the case.
  15. I second that. One of the absolutely best things about this board are the IAs and Truck4s in-depth and factual IAs are a huge part of that.
  16. End all be all right here. American Pie by Don Mclean.....all 23.09 minutes of it. Thats enough time for the knock down and overhaul.
  17. Great Post....
  18. Any pictures? I am curious to see what it looks like on a BPD car.
  19. They do? I live in Bedford and have NEVER seen a car with this lightbar. Granted I have not been home in three weeks.......
  20. I love the look of the rear of the rig. Thats a place I have never seen a rear flasher before. I like the look of the chevrons, it gives it a some what of a classic look but while still maintaining the safety of the chevrons.
  21. I like that saying, its good and catchy
  22. It hurts me to realize that we as a country are slowly forgetting the sacrifices made that day. This memorial should continue until the wounds heal, whenever that maybe.
  23. I was in 3rd Period English at Fox Lane Middle School. My teacher got a memo from an administrator and the room got quiet. A desperate look over-took her face and she started to chock up. She told us that the twin towers had been hit. I was in 6th grade and I assumed that it was a small private plane that had hit the towers. I did not find out the gravity of the situation until after I got home. My mother came home from her job in Stamford early and my dad was stuck in Manhattan and could not easily get out of the city. I will never forget that terrible day. All we did for the rest of the day was watch the news. I can never, ever forget the images on the news that showed the towers being hit, collapsing and the pentagon. Minivac, your teachers daughter was in my class in high school. I was there when the dedicated the stadium at Fox Lane to George Morrell. In every generation, events that take place define that generation. Pearl Harbor, Korea, Vietnam, MLK Jr. assassination, both Kennedy assassinations and the OJ Trial and for me and my generation it is 9/11. I do not like it, but it is the truth. Every-time I get on that rig, I think back to the innocent FDNY members that were murdered on that terrible, terrible day.
