If they are lucky it is a Cougar, Catamount, Puma they are all the same thing, but they have not been sightings of a breeding pair in New York or the Northeast for years, only evidence of kills. All of this is from the DEC. Populations existed all throughout North America prehistorically but with the expansion of human population and development, North American Cougar populations all but disappeared. Populations of note exist in Northern Canada and Florida. JFLYNN, billfitz or whoever wants to answer this question: What happens when the westchester carrer task force is busy, say a major incident happens across the entire region and the Westchetser Spec. Ops. Task Force units and personnel are preoccupied in their home cities, who should the IC in South Salem or Yorktown or Pound Ridge call in order to conduct collapse or other rescue operations? Don't all of these men and machines stay home first and only when not needed do they go out? Who will have the right tools to get the job done if for some reason you can not? NYC, NY USAR TF2, Stamford? Who will help them if you said you would but for some reason can't? Im just asking a question not trying to start an arguement.

Ladder 7 and Engine 7 are assigned to the grasslands fire brigade for fire/rescue protection of the Dana Road campus The Field Communications unit belongs to the dispatchers at 60-Control (I believe the only one is the new one, I thought they were keeping the old one but I read/heard/saw some where, dont remember how or when, that it is gone)

What we should do is get rid of school boards, consolidate schools and send a clear mandate that there is no reason why school budgets and taxes need to increase by between 5-10% every year. It is crazy. We have some of the best public schools in the country (Katonah, Chappaqua, Rye, Bedford, Larchmont to name a few) in our county, but there is no reason to tell the tax payers that they need to pay more again especially in these difficult times.

Both commercial and "freeform" radio formats are a shame. You only end up listening to the same thing over and over again or listening to something you have never heard before likely do not even like. The radio industry does not play anything good. That is why I am glad I can listen to my Ipod in my car.
