Why can't we just play in one big sandbox and borrow each others toys?

What is the fire scene unit for? What do its responsibilities include? How is it staffed?

you know I was going to watch it when I was home from school over the weekend because it was on comedy central and I was too lazy to change the channel but my parents made me change the channel. I have seen most of Coming to America, however, it various parts, one of the few things I do remember is when he get his hair cut and the opening scene when his vast wealth is on display. I will get right on watching it from end to end but it will have to wait until after finals. I am being murdered here up at school.

If they are talking about the one I think they are talking about it on Fordham Road between Southern Bvld and Crotona ave next to the Mobil gas station. When I was working down there at the zoo there was an FDNY ambulance parked there often.

If that MacDonalds burned down so help me god... It is like the only place open early and late that I would go to when I was working as a keeper at the Bronx Zoo. It was literally around a fence and across the street from my office building. It is the only place to get something quick when you are 30 minutes late and 250 birds need to be fed. Not to mention the various humanity you see in there. crackheads and skells standing next to some of the foremost wildlife researchs in thw world.

There are many locations in various districts across Westchester that are quite large distances from the home districts station and actually closer to a station in another district. As was discussed here some time ago, for example, there are parts of the Yorktown Fire District served by apparatus from stations in Yorktown that are within 1/4 mile I believe of Millwoods station.

That is exactly what I was trying to point out, thanks for the clarification.

I read all of the comments. I could not really find one that was largely pro volunteer or pro career. All I saw was a poster who misspoke about survivor benefits. Is this the original post in question: too bad hyde park doesn't have a PAID fire departmnet so this mans family would get a pension or some state compensation to help deal with the loss. when will hyde park ever learn... This is the statement made by this same person at 23:04 oh i agree with you, these men and women are putting their lives on the line every time they go on duty, im just saying, i think simply the fact that they do this, they should receive some compensation

If you recall in the home gas explosion in Clifton, NJ, the homeowner evacuated the house then went back in and flipped on a light switch then everything went boom... If you think there is a gas leak, just get yourself and all of the PEOPLE in your house out, and dont touch or use anything with power or heat or a spark or batteries etc just leave and call the fire department when you are safely away from your house.... here is a a link from the Ohio Public Utilities Commission regarding gas leak safety: http://www.puco.ohio.gov/PUCO/Consumer/Information.cfm?id=5812

Honestly, its pretty easy to see who the "Senior Man" is. Who is the guy that when he walks into a room, everyone quiets down? Who is the guy that consistently delivers results? Who is the guy that commands everyones respect? Who is the guy that the proby says "I want to be just like him" about? Who is the guy that has one last thing to say before its over, said and done with? Who is that guy that is willing to try one last thing that no one thought of or tried? That is the senior man. Its not necessarily the guy with the most years on the job or the biggest muscles but it is usually the guy with the levelest head, the highest qualifications and training, the easiest to relate to and the natural charisma and ability to lead.

Its hard to give credibility to a man who has an open Federal Department of Justice Grand Jury investigating his abuse of powers that have been described by the Attorney General of the United States Eric Holder as "serious and ongoing". Let him have his day in court...
