  1. How do I go back?
  2. Good luck Vicky.
  3. Congrats all around.
  4. I was thinking that as well. That entire article seemed very one-sided and misleading. Most of it seemed like less news and more mud flinging.
  5. 75 feet. http://www.record-review.com/record-review/Record-Review_030912_KFD.html
  6. Its not rumored. It was confirmed in the local newspaper a week ago.

  8. How much leeway does any MD have to deviate from our protocols. Obviously Med Control can set and create protocols at will, but how about a random MD? To what extent do you have to follow their treatments, I would think that you would have to follow the state, district and service protocols to the letter with no derivation regardless of the input of some "other" M.D.
  9. Because they don't actually view women as people, other wise they would apply "life, liberty and pursuit of happiness" to all people, not just white, Christian, males aged 30 years and over.
  10. Because it is very difficult to ask to be toured around an in-serivce rig when its parked on the street by itself.
  11. RIP
  12. Again, I ask...what do they actually do? How do they assist during emergencies? What capabilities do they have and what capabilities does this unit have? How can you use this resource in emergencies if no one knows what it does?
  13. So what do they do? I noticed the vehicle has no emergency lights...does it respond anywhere?
  14. Jewish women want to join all-male EMTs http://www.lohud.com...ext|Frontpage|s While Hatzolah has been discussed here to a great extent. I am curious to know if anyone has had any issues with religious/cultural differences regarding males treating females or females treating males and how you managed that situation?

  16. New NWHC ED has a great EMS room, although no one ever stocks it from the hospital. While I dont go to WMC very often, the last time I was there I had to do a PCR from a near MCI while sitting in the back of my rig, needless to say I did not enjoy that....
  17. Captain, while I normally agree with you, I do not think I can agree with you in this case. We believe that we have convicted this firefighter just like we have convicted the suspect...in the court of public opinion and no where else yet. FF Perdomo has not been charged or convicted with any crime to date. Based on speculation and rumors of the media, many of us have jumped to the conclusion that some degree of malfeasance has been committed on the part of the victim. Many of us listen to and embrace these media rumors, yet we are also so quick to dismiss, put down and ignore other rumors the media promotes on any number of various causes. My point is this, while it may smell fishy, neither you nor I should be rushing to judgement. He was a brother, a firefighter that men risked their lives for and who probably risked his life for them. He did his job and by all accounts never let his personally life interfere with his work. On the job, he was my brother just like he was yours. I would not be so quick to judgement of another brother, regardless of the situation they were found in. We protect our own, if we don't no one will, by selling him down the river without any real proof we further weaken the bonds that you yourself are proclaiming to be failing. We sell him down the river by letting the rumors promoted by the media get in the way of fact. I say RIP because at this point a man was murdered, no matter the reason, no matter the man, a life was taken, end of story. You may have all the suspicion in the world, but that does not matter one when it comes to facts. For now, I wish this firefighter to rest in peace just like I would any other fallen firefighter, it is only after all the facts are out on the table will I decide whether my statement was premature or not.
  18. google "youth ambulance new york state". Many good informative links pop up. Google is your friend....
  19. This is a thought...build the one the propose above, or something like it. Then rehab/refirb the existing span and turn it into a mass transit line. They say the bridge cant handle the traffic and the weight, well remove the traffic and frequency of weight. Is there a reason why that wont work?
  20. 1 video shows him walking to a house with a MSP detective, another shows him being lead out by the same detective cuffed. Sounds like they got him, or at least have reasonable doubt to suspect that a crime was committed. My questions are A. Where is the body?, B. Why? and C. Will they be able to prove a crime was committed even though the body is not present. People V. Scott (1960) states that a body is not required for prosecution and apparently there is a 90% conviction rate for murders where no body is present. However, there is still that 10%....
  21. I am opposed to any and all plans that do not include a mass transit feature. Whether it be specialty lanes for buses or lines for rail it really does not matter. However to not include mass transit features is to not plan for the future. What will this region look like in 50 years? If the next 50 years are going to look anything like the last 50 years, this region is going to look like LA with snow before I reach the age to retire. Therefore, it would be common sense to extend mass transit over the bridge into Rockland. Hell, if they could link up with NJ transit, we could have the start of a logical and connected mass transit system allowing anyone from New Haven to Trenton the ability to enter the NYC and Metro Area via mass transit without having to take 3 separate lines. If one could go from NJ to NY and then NY to CT without having to enter NYC, imagine the relief that would provide stations such as Penn or GCT.
