  12. Does anyone have any experience, comments on this model scanner? I am undecided between the BC785D and the BC246. I have an interference problem in my car that has not allowed me to use anything than a handheld while in the car. Its feedback from the engine or other electronics or something. BC 350 was useless. I need something that has private lines and will be able to monitor the new county system when is finally debuts. Suggestions..... http://www.scannerworld.com/template.asp?v...wproduct=BC246T
  13. The new Engine 22 is in, a brand new ALF Eagle Rescue Pumper. It is striped, but no tools or hose. Currently in shops at Sta. 1. The compartment space is incredible. The rig itself is very high. One of the nicest engines i've seen. Sorry, no pics.

  18. From what I heard, bids were entertained from Seagrave, ALF and E-One. ALF was too large for the firehouse (height) and Seagrave was likely to be awarded the contract. 100' Rear Mount Lo-Pro Aerial Ladder. I assume it would be like Rye L25 and others in Mount Vernon and Eastchester. Prior to making a final vote for the $600,000 an additional bid is being requested from Sutphen for a mid-mount aerial ladder. This may also prove to be too large (length). Anybody from Pelham keep us posted...
  19. Scarsdale VAC was also on scene. A Chief, I believe Pelham, called this in on 46.26. He made the initial request that the helicopter be placed on standby and gave information to the responding units, relayed through 60 control.
