"Are we the last of the self-dispatchers?" Don't forget KNDQ 459 Larchmont. It appears that many of the Greenburgh FD's have stayed away from 60. Is everyone happy with the Police/Self-Dispatch or is there another reason?

I saw the new 30A1 today. It is white and red and says New Rochelle EMS - Transcare. Nice looking bus. Unfortunately I was unable to get a picture of it.

Thanks for the info, JBE. I believe some of the volunteer fire companies attend the Mamaroneck Parade. I remember seeing Broad Channel FD there once, and maybe another one. Can someone from VMFD confirm this?

JBE, How are the volunteer fire and ambulance companies in NYC dispatched? Do they just listen to the scanner and buff calls? I read somewhere that Richmond E&H Co. (Staten Island) is the only volly company in the city dispatched by the FDNY. Is this accurate? Thanks!

I think Pelham is 33.96 (station alert), 46.26 (Pagers), 46.06 (Ops), all 60 Control. Scarsdale dispatches themselves on 154.10.

HAZMAT tech is only required for the Squads. HAZMAT First Responder and Mass Decon/Trailer Training for the MDU.

MDU-2, stationed at Port Chester South End, is staffed by members of Sound Shore FD's. PCFD is responsible for maintenance, tow vehicle and administrative tasks associated with the trailer.
