Capt,Which dept was it? I was on a Rye rig witha career driver that kept getting waved in at every checkpoint until we were asked to help a few blocks north of the WTC. We hooked a hydrant at the MIllenium Hilton later that evening. I was in the back of the rig so I didnt hear every radio transmission on our way down.

I thought they used electronic air horns which are not a siren although they sound like they air horn part of a siren.

It isnt going to be in Port Chester. It is going in Rye Brook at the Rye Ridge shopping center where the movie theatre used to be.

Besides some anchient lighting,(it really needs some led bars) its in great shape. The guys take care of it.

It will be a Pierce. I hears some rumors of the design but dont know what the final specs were. Port chester rigs have a variety of roof colors based on committee choices and both paid engines now are fully red rigs. One might assume that this tradition might stay, but then again stranger things have happened.

I have to agree. They should have at least not installed the push bumper. Not to be a sexist but most women wont notice the little things we will. I am sure that they will fall for this and it will serve its purpose in ticketing people who constantly talk on their phone and violate the law.

Thats funny. Our Sutphen has always had problems with the bucket. I personally dont like them too much either. E one and Sutphen just seem to me to be very rickety apparatus. They just dont feel like solid rigs.

Let me clarify my original statement.I am basing this on a stick not a bucket. FYI aluminum melts at 1220.666F and steel melts at 2400F. That's why I prefer steel and think any stick made of aluminum is garbage.

I have the same problem. Have to drive it but hate it. My favorite would be anything Mack and dislike E One and Ferrara

Turned down a free pumper? Sounds stupid to me.

I am sure the reason for this is that you have a commercial cab E One. From my experience with our Freightliners so far they have been pretty much trouble free.

I did an install on a Prius a few years back. At the time leds were still rather new and we used spare strobes from the parts room. I do remember removing the front bumper cover to remove the headlights.I would suggest that you don't use the existing lights and install Whelen hideaway leds on a plain rocker switch.

E ONE uses an aluminum ladder,and they are garbage

The municipality that I work for I believe has a 50 mile limit without permission. Anything over that, permission is needed. Hope this contributes to the original post.

I remember seeing the pictures of the old boat. What ever happened to it? I know Rye lost their fire boat and was looking for one.
