Izzy, in the past I have used something like that. It was basically a dual female , single male metal RCA type Y fitting. I used to get them at Radio Shack. They worked fine for me. The only problem you might have is depending on what type and size of fitting is on your car stereo's antenna wire and what adapters you might need for your scanner.

I know Rye used to have a horn system that also was a pa system for evacuations. When they rebuilt HQ was it eliminated or was it reinstalled?

My pro 2066 will not accept a 400mhz trunk. I found the manual and it says trunked frequencies are in the 800mhz band. Looks kike I am buying new scanners.

I was going to reply to this post. But as I was scrolling down, you said exactly what I was going to. Send in M/A on dispatch . Leave the fest team in place. Once they get put to work, you now have a delay to replace them and ff dafety could be compromised.
