  1. Nice truck. Just wondering why it isnt designated as a utility.
  2. I can tell you that International is NOT the way to go. I am tired of seeing them in my shop, we cant keep them running. We also have Macks, Sterlings, Peterbilts, Chevy and GMC commercial. I personally like the Sterlings for their great visibility.

  4. Listening to this fire on the trunk system, it seemed that the tanker system was well organized. Good job. guys.
  5. One or two hundred dollars a year sounds fine to me. They are saving in other areas by being volunteers.

  9. The specs were done by the paid staff. One of the members is a rig and truck collector. Alot of you will know who I am talking about. It will be a great rig that will serve them well. I am sure at some point he will fill you in with more info.
  10. At work in Rye (A member there at the time). We responded with Eng 191 with a police escort on the Hutch to Yonkers. When we got near E52/ L52 in the Bronx the road was shut down, except for us. Soon we were near the Intrepid and were asked by a FDNY chief if we could pump their hydrants. On the way we saw a jet engine on the side of the road as we turned a corner. He took us to an intersection that turned out to be at Church and Vessey. Through the smoke we could see a structure in the middle of the street. We gave the guys alot of our equipment. We heard about Father Judge and stopped in the church where he was lying on the altar. I said a prayer and went back to work. We were in the collapse zone of Builing #7 when it came down around 5pm. I was able to scramble to the cab of the engine. Instantly it was dark as night. Later on we were at the Millenium Hilton pumping to a TL from Staten Island. Later that night, we shutled guys in and out for relief. I left around midnight and went back the next morning.
  11. Hey Grumpy, what do you guys have in Station 2? Are the rigs first due in that area of town or are they spare rigs? I live nearby and always wondered, thanks.
  12. They started in the Greenhaven section near the Mamaroneck line and are now searching opposite Rye Golf Club with WCPD Aviation and Harison K-9.
  13. Saw on CH 4 this morning that NYC OEM has sent men to stage in Atlanta. Good luck guys and stay safe.

  15. Great pictures. That technical rescue looks like it was actually a rear mount at one time.
  16. Car was set up by TCD in Mamaroneck. We are trying to determine the exact cause, but the vehicle is really charred. We would like to see if it is a Ford or an aftermarket situation.
  17. Sounds like a great judgement call.
  18. Port Chester now being dispatched on 46.26 and responding on 46.06.
  19. Great job on the pictures. I just have one question. Why doesnt the head chief have the newest vehicle? It seems as they keep thier vehicle and dont pass theirs down as new ones are purchased.
  20. I have seen that engine and also a 75ft stick. Seagrave owns Aerialscope so that is probably a good conclusion.
  21. You can also see the old Engine 58 a GMC that we called the ice cream truck. (note the white color)
  22. The second picture is of the cab of Ladder 31, a 1981 Seagrave tiller that was just replaced. Also in the first picture is the old Engine 61 a 1974 Yellow Maxim. You can also see the rear of the old Engine 60, a 195? Ward LaFrance. (now owned by our own Engine 58)
  23. Is that the one that has been sitting behind TCD?
  24. From what I heard listening to this event on the radio , the EMS supervisor did a great job.
