I was in 10th grade. I was in Global History when a teacher came in and said, "A plane just hit the WTC." I thought nothing of it, and murmured, "Crazy low-flying plane." A few minutes later that teacher came in again and said, "Another plane hit the WTC." At that point I was shaken. Then he said, "This may be WWIII." I became dizzy right then and there, but was uncertain of what to think of this event or his blunt statement.

I love "Backdraft," even though the only realistic thing in the movie was the truck sirens

i'd say if you are in the top 25 you are eligible to be first choice. if you are in the top 50-25, you have a good chance of being called back for the second choice.

I got my rank today, anybody else get theirs?

i really like it. i like the camaro concept but even though i am a chevy guy by birth, the challenger is just a bigger eye catcher and is fashioned more closely to that of the 70s.

WHAT A BAGEL on Mamaroneck Avenue in White Plains.

I CAN ALSO CONFIRM WHITE PLAINS FIRE DEPT. will not release the list of candidates who took the physical agility test in September 2005 until June 2006. Unfortunately the city decided to keep the last list and hold it over until June. However, as they say, PATIENCE IS A VIRTUE. AND A PAIN IN THE A-- For other firefighters of WPFD, GOOD LUCK ON THE UPCOMING LIEUTENNANT EXAM!

i love the new design. i think it's sweet! i owned a 1993 chevrolet camaro with the 5.7L 350 LT1 as my first car. my mother owned a 1968 camaro rs. i love the 69 style and think it is fairly restyled reminiscent of that era. i hope gm plans to produce it.

I agree. Bow ties all the way!

STEAK, EGG AND CHEESE ON A ROLL from, once again, ROOSTER'S MARKET on Gendney Way in White Plains.

ROOSTER'S FAMILY MARKET on Gendey Way in White Plains. almost all WPFD stops in for breakfast or lunch. Plus, I work there part time, so I see them all! So if you are in the area, stop in and grab a bite. it's right off mamaroneck avenue near Burke Rehab.

I agree. Circuit City has the best prices and installation options. However, i found that it is illegal to install remote start on a vehicle with manual transmission. I have a 95 toyota 4runner with 5 speed and they informed me of this. I tried Audio Visions of Westchester on the White Plains/Hartsdale border and they said they would install it on a manual trans however will not give me a receipt in return. i would have installed it myself but the remote starters don't come with any wiring diagrams.

they say it is more fuel efficient with its displacement on demand system in which half of the cylinders are shut down while cruising and all eight fire up again while under heavy acceleration. even though i am personally a chevy guy, it is a ripoff of dodge's idea of shutting down half the cylinders as implemented on the new 5.7L hemi engine. however, i like the new style and look forward to see if gm will make an ss version of the tahoe.

I heard the list will possibly be sent out either this week or next week for White Plains. It has been a long time and hopefully the city is correct with this time frame.

I agree. TACO BELL all the way. I love the burrito supreme or grilled stuft chipotle. Subway is a nice place for a quick bite too.
