So, let me get this right. Your getting your information from the NEWSPAPER, not the OFFICIAL EXAM ANNOUNCEMENT? If everyone spent as much time reading the announcement as bashing Hispanics, this thread would have been three posts long.
-
That is correct, they have been around a while. Some guys wear them frequently. Most of the newer guys just use the Black Goretex, but everyone is issued both.
-
There must be exceptions, no? Many 24/48's could led to three 24 tours in a week, and I am familiar with other Civil Service systems with 12 hour tours that lead to 48 hours on alternating weeks that do not lead to overtime after 40 hours.

It's been a while since I read the DOH position paper on this, but it did not specify only line officer's could use RLS, it basically stated it was up to each individual agency to decide on their own. Refer to: http://www.health.state.ny.us/nysdoh/ems/policy/01-01.htm Also 800.25 doesn't specify a specialty transport unit, it just uses that as an example. If you have the 'political power', you can get the State to certify anything a 'Special Use Vehicle'. It doesn't get anymore vague and broad than that. It's an open ended loophole.
-
If your agency truly uses the magnetic placards, you’re in the minority. Just out of curiosity, do you have documentation from your insurance carrier? I only ask, because, as most people have probably encountered, any excuse for your Insurance not to cover a claim, they will jump on.

Two Type-III ambulances. Fly Cars (36M1 and 36M2) respond from Ossining VAC, as part of the Tri-Village ALS System (Croton, Briarcliff, Ossining).
-
OK, so I did. I called our contact at the AG's Office. She said, given this vauge scenario, they would have a far easier time representing us against claims given your 'disaster scenario' then passing another incident, such as the one used in this scenario.
-
RWC- Banks close at 3PM, D&D closes at 11PM. Therefore, your scenario is unrealstic, as we should never have to choose bewteen those two options.
-
Well, you changed the scenario. Is it your position is that an Engine with extrication capability (and in theory EMS certified personnel) and a typical patrol car coming on the same incident do not have different levels of participation, that in theory, would not dictate their continued response to another incident?
-
Where's the connection between an Engine with extrication capabilities versus a patrol car with no such ability?
-
ALS- It was 27Q Springvale. PM me if you want her name, I hesitate to post it here. Hint: H. M. (Does that spark it for you?)

Well, from your post, I thought you were implying they had no jurisdiction in other counties. Thats what I read from it.
-
Just out of curiosity, where did you read MTA was limited to those counties?
-
Well, State's vary on who handles the prosecution of Traffic Tickets. Even in New York, it varies by what part of the state your talking about. But, as was mentioned, since he isn't contesting the ticket, there is no true "prosecution" role to be played.

Am I the only one tired of hearing BS excuses like this? What kind of household do you need to grow up in to know this is inappropriate behavior?

On the highway, these HELP trucks are great. The are always assisting us, and all the guys I work with are professional and hard workers.
-
They're (SLOWLY) changing all existing lightbars, in addition to turning out all new cars with the blue lenses, or blue LED's in the cases of the new units.

Troop "H" is HQ. No patrol vehicle's turn out of there, just H plates to signify it is a pilot use vehicle that will be traveling around the State, gauging Member's interest. Tentatively, they will replace the Camaro’s initially, perhaps after that replacing all patrol vehicles.
