  5. The article indicates they were supposed to spray the elephant as it walked by, not close down. Sounds like there was some miscommunication somewhere. One of the comments from the blogs:

  7. Sarcastic comments aside, the MDT's do have the potential to be distracting when your forced to multitask.
  8. Yes. Traffic Control Device is a very generic term, that can be articulated to mean almost anything.

  10. http://www.lohud.com/article/2009907220358 This should close the recent debate on using LifeNet in and around communities close to WMC.
  11. That was my EXACT first thought. Looks like an afterthought.
  12. Eight fatalities is correct. Perhaps the most horrific accident I have ever seen.
  13. That's true, they had dropped the Trauma Center designation, but until recently, the landing pad was still there, for interfacility transports out of HVHC, or for the rare, yet not unheard of instance, of StatFlight needing to stop there due to adverse weather while in flight, or an emergent change in patient condition requiring immediate attention.

  17. Contract states you double up from 12:00 am to 5:00 am. Some guys split up into 2 cars for 5:00am to 7:00 am, others just remain doubled up til 7:00am. The 2-man rule does not apply to Supervisors, K9, or BCI.
  18. What level are the other big Westchester Dept's at?
  19. I think she should of held on to the Alaska gig. I can't imagine her going any higher than that.

  21. Those City officials can (and will) claim Qualified Immunity. And in my opinion, they will win, thereby avoiding personal civil liability.
  22. It's called Crossfiling and it's common. You just notify all jurisdictions where your actually sitting for the test. Any jurisdiction you pay your fee too will receive your scores.
  23. Actually, it makes perfect sense, because without it, EVERY, and I mean EVERY person who is legitimately being arrested will violently resist, with the explanation, "Oh, I didn't feel this was a legitimate arrest." You want chaos and anarchy, as that is the alternative. As Chris192 says, for cases such as the one before us, there are recourses. Administrative, Civil, and if warranted, Criminal.
  24. I'm very aware of that. I was curious what his source was.
