  7. Although I cannot speak to the fire side at all, Edgemont could easily continue using Greenburgh Town PD. Many villages in New York have agreements with the Towns that encompass them.
  8. Unmarked SP patrols have been back for several years now.
  9. Is the Union advocating not providing mutual aid? Given several recent incident alerts where they accepted mutual aid into their city, this incident certainly seemed reasonable I would think. And they probably could have declined the additional 1&1.
  10. That helps bring things into a bit of perspective. Do any other agencies carry these devices?
  11. It does seem like this will be hard to justify, barring some compelling reason.
  12. OK, so enlighten us with your "inside information."
  13. Do not try an introduce open-mindedness, common sense or any attempt to try to get to the bottom of this story. It will delay the mob mentality response, which must proceed unabated! Flying off the handle at the slightest slight, real, perceived or completely imagined, is the way to get things done!
  14. Responsible crime scene units typically do not respond with lights and sirens. Buffy crime scene units, well that's another story. Much risk, little benefit.

  19. They probably set relations between their agencies back considerably. I hope they charge them criminally.
  20. Every time politics comes up here, people later regret it.
  21. Could they be getting more involved in EMS, given the crazy number of calls generated by the VA Campus and State Nursing Home on the Campus? If they were starting to assume the ALS care and transport, it would really reduce the burden on CCVAC and Cortlandt ALS who respond there multiple times every day.
  22. Just to clarify, this call appears to have occurred after 7:00 p.m., when the career EMT from OVAC had already left, so OVAC isn't really involved in this specific matter.
