  1. 3000 GPM WTF?!? They must have some crazy $hit in their response area (ie. industrial) or SOMETHING to warrant that monster pump!
  2. I wonder if it's the Cayenne Turbo... the new ones have a twin turbo v8 with 500 hp and 520 ft/lbs torque ! I agree speed isn't a factor here-but on the Autobahn I would bet it is LOL! I want one
  3. Oh damn that's iceworld right there
  4. Ya know you shouldn't talk about your dad like that... I mean I know we're cousins and all but... How is ole snaggletooth.. you guys are sorely missed! Everyone holding up from the MVA?
  5. That's exactly what they sound like "repondin' " from station 2!!! Old radio Rob on the air.. used to call me on the radio from station 5 when I was returning from calls @ AFD to tell me my mom was at the station 'cause I forgot my lunchbox... The list of dispatchers by ID number is on the DCDER site under communications... and just by chance 14-43 is Steve Tuttle, whom likes to fly hot air balloons into Arlington headquarters in his spare time
  6. Doesn't Erin Clancy from Stanfordville have something to do with this?
  7. It's a Spartan Evolution cab

  9. I use the "CHART" method.... it keeps it simple. C- Chief Complaint (i.e. 25 y/o male complaining of extreme boredom) H- History of present illness/ pertainent medical hx A- Assessment (only pertainent findings) R- Rx (medications) only if necessary T- Treatment -Always give ETA and request orders following report. If you really are wondering what they want to hear (no pun intended) ask for or look at what they write down the report on when you call in... do they have yellow post it notes that they just throw on a whiteboard following your call in or do they actually have a certain piece of paper specifically for ambulance reports that they hand off to the attending... food for thought... As far as the sensitive info deal the phone works just fine.
  10. Yeah definately second "tha Rock" 24's are the greatest.
  11. I don't know about you Don but I didn't need any help getting hurt on St. Patty's this year
  12. Original topic, replies, and pics prior to purchase- http://emtbravo.net/index.php?showtopic=16827
  13. This was definately a package deal and yes it was an amazing one at that. The trucks are beautiful as well as the equipment that comes with them. The Saulsbury is an incredible drive and has quite the turning radius. The Telma retarder is also a different but welcome addition to the apparatus as it is smoother than a "traditional" Jake. Hopefully they will go to good use and again best of luck... not bad for $475,000!!!!
  14. Grrrrrr... LOL But seriously, Congrats!
  15. Yeah so in other words, my bad...
  16. Oh IDK if it's a new thing.. I just remembered they were disbanded a few years back last I'd heard, Oh well...
  17. Whaddya think ALS? We can bring it back! Pleasure to work with ya back in the day... we really ripped it up huh!?! Oh and how's about; 1st Senate CMT Hudson Valley Ambulance New Windsor
  18. ....Well back when I was Lieutenant... ROFLMAO!!!!!!
  19. That is an old ALF century series that was owned by Dean Gitter in Mt. Tremper (Catskill Corners) and sold when the "Spotted Dog Firehouse" Restaurant was closed. The original idea was for hayrides/transportation/etc on the grounds of the Emerson hotel (which burned up), Catamount Cafe, and Catskill Corners resort and shop (and worlds largest Kaliedoscope) on Route 28 outside of Phoenicia, NY. The Midmount open cab ladder from Margaretville, the ford/alf painted like a dalmation, and the ford/alf with the dalmation on top of it, as well as an old oren were all acquired by him for use in one way or another. He also acquired a 70th anniversary seagrave open cab, cut the front nose off of it, and made a bar out of it... a goddamn travesty if you ask me... just like the mack c-95 aerialscope, seagrave tiller, and the countless other beautiful pieces rotting away off of traver there... The old Ford which was painted as a snapple truck is rumored to be the old first line pumper for Hudson Valley Psychiatric Center which was disbanded in the 90s. Seth I see you stopped by AFD.. did you come in HQ? I was uptown for a little bit... too bad you snapped the old ambulance... the brand new 3272 came in that day and was making rounds. LMK if you're going to be around! Wait... did someone say Wassaic recieved a new tanker???
  20. Bwahahahahahahaha!!!! The tower also!!!
  21. Try Bob Parker's place in Red Oaks Mill... Dutchess trains and Hobbies I think it's called... in that plaza after Hobnobbin headed toward the Galleria on Vassar Rd. Lots of cool stuff + he has some connections with Rescue 2... actually made a commemorative train set or something to that affect.... Then hit up the Hobby House on Route 9 directly across the street from the South Hills Mall entrance.. if you go Eastboound on Vassar rd. you'll come to the intersection of Vassar+9... take a right into the Burgur King Parking lot and just drive up the small hill into the adjacent parking lot and look to your right...voila! Literally 2 mins. from the other hobby store and I'm sure you'll find something between the two places. If he's into firetrucks bring him up to Marylin + Gil's Fire Station on Hamburg rd. in Catskill (right acrossed the Rip Van Winkle Bridge) ... I generally spend $500 each time I visit and she has an amazing amount of stock... then after you stop there you can jump across the river to the Firefighting museum in Hudson... it'll be a nice day out! Rich
  22. Holy $h1t that's a LOT of guys! Is there really that much attrition/expansion? I haven't seen many retirees in the mag!?!
  23. Yeah I saw that... pretty interesting... I don't have one of the 1st releases of the ALF mid mount but it would be interesting to compare the Indy, Fort Worth, or YFD release to the part to see... LMK if you do and your results.
  24. Good god and I thought I was bad... lets see some pics of the kitbashes! Esp. 19-4-1/4-2 and the verplanck rig!!!!
