Haggerty made some excellent points. It really does depend on age group and which systems his or her friends have. I have a PS3 and i love it. Ive had every Playstation since theyve come out and have had no complaints. The PS3 also doubles as a DVD/BluRay player, not sure if XBox does? Best of luck in your shopping excursion velcro.

Steve, that is the way i attempted to attach my pics. I think the problem is with my computer, as i have an outdated browser. CBX, i too did a google search for this FD. I also found the Vol FD in Tenn, but the website wasnt very informative. Good eye regarding the cab. It would be interesting to see if this was indeed a former FDNY Truck and what company it served. One of these days i will have to stop by the house where this truck is sitting and inquire about it.

Come on Barry. With all due respect, planning and training are all good and well. But you know, as well as i, that alot of these commercial occupancies may change what they are storing on a daily basis. Even a Career department (such as the one you are affiliated with) with Inspectors/Marshalls may not be able to keep up with whats going on in these places. Responding to ANY emergency, we must always be on alert and prepared for ANYTHING. However, there are times when things are out of our control. Happy thanksgiving to you sir and your family, stay safe.

Happy and safe Thanksgiving to everyone and their families. To those of you who are working today, stay safe. Also, a big thank you to those in the Armed Forces who are keeping us safe as we celebrate. Many of us will be traveling in some way, shape or form today (including myself), so please be careful out there. Enjoy and stay safe!

Wow, great shots, thanks for sharing! A lot of fire on arrival, not much to do but protect the exposures. You just have to be very reserved not knowing what is stored in and around a body shop. Almost looks like this could have started on the exterior, no? Hope nobody was hurt and again, great shots. Happy Thanksgiving everyone, stay safe!

I just read the IA for the Croton incident regarding the subject stuck in the mud. I just wanted to say awesome job to WCPD Aviation for an outstanding job! That is a large area and would be very tricky for any sort of rescue or other emergency. AIR-2's assistance undoubtedly played a large role in the positive outcome of this situation. Just another great example of why WCPD Aviation is such an outstanding resource for the County. Job well done lads! Also, kudos to all the responders on the ground; FD, EMS and PD. Great heads-up thinking by the IC to call in Air-2 and in such a timely manner. From the IA, Air-2 was in the area within 10 minutes of being requested.

Barry, thanks for all of your informative posts. You have always been the go-to guy when it comes down to it. One word here: CONSOLIDATION! Barry, i think even you could/would agree with me on this lol.

Chief, well said. I know that the Brigade was a good mutual-aid asset, especially for Haz-Mat related incidents. Unfortunately, i dont believe they respond off-site (mutual-aid) any longer. Does anyone know if the Brigades Utility is still in service/in use?

Chief, thanks for sharing the pics. Great looking ride, simple, yet practical. This may seem like a silly question, but; what is that "box" to the right of the radio heads in the cargo area? Is it for a knox box system? Again, great looking command vehicle and best of luck with it.

dmccabe...thanks for the info. My wife is from Vermont and a definate ski/snow bunny. I would love to see Utah in general, let alone for the skiing. Sounds like a great experience. Its funny, many people are quick to vacation to the Carribean (myself included) or other countries, but there is soo much beauty right here. Ive been wanting to get out to the mid-west for quite some time now, so i may just have to look into your reccomendations! As for "Snow Men," sounds like it could have been a pretty cool show. Too bad it sounds like Discovery s**t-canned it. If the Discovery Chanel was looking to do an exciting show about snow-plowing, they should have come to my job lol. I would have let them ride-along with me as the Village of Buchanan can get real dangerous . There would be plenty of action in the traffic circle.
