May he rest in peace. Condolences to his wife, children and his extended family at the BMFD.

Dispatcher Robbie Bancroft of 60-Control assisted a father over the phone to deliver a baby in their Cortlandt home. Aside from working at 60, Robbie has been a long time Firefighter with the Bedford Hills FD. Nice work Robbie, always nice to see positive info regarding emergency services in the news. Also, nice work on the part of the LMFD, LMVAC, ALS, NYSP and WCPD units that responded. Here is the link to the Journal News article: http://www.lohud.com/article/20120321/NEWS/303210004/Special-delivery-Cortlandt-father-helps-son-s-birth Also, congrats to the family and hope that mom and baby are doing well.

To my knowledge, its a dual response (MFD and MVAFD) to ALL calls (- EMS) at the NYS Vets nursing home.

Great shots as always Kyle, thanks for sharing! I went skiing once this season and it was horrible. Was in the beginning of the season at Wyndham and it was soo icy that it wasnt even enjoyable. Your pictures remind me of my trip last year to Oregon and Washington State, soo gorgeous out there. Vail, and Colorado in general are at the top of the "must visit" list for my wife and i. As for your question as to what movie that house was feaured in, ill bite...was it "The Glass House?"

I think the new Rescue-3 looks great. Congrats to the FFD and may it serve you well for years to come. To my knowledge, Buchanan has been happy with their Furion. Im sure the men at FFD will give the new R3 a run for her money and really see what its worth. Nice to see it came with a "real" siren as well .

Nice find Lieutenant, thanks for sharing. Dan, there you go again thinking pro-activley . We've talked about it in great lengths with regard to Westchester, esp some smaller Career Depts. Its nice to see these idea's expanding and being studied. I have stated my feelings in regards to consolidation and i think its a step in the right direction. I do not know much about Dutchess, but as with other Counties, i could see many areas that would/could benefit from some sort of consolidation. Perhaps as the article mentions, the Combo depts in the Town of Poughkeepsie area could be a good start? We've kicked this around for some time. One of my questions is, how do the members of these Depts feel about this topic? It will be interesting to follow this study and see where it leads, if anywhere.

Great shots Task Force, thanks for sharing! I really like that new Pierce Engine from Lake Cities. Have to admit, i like the black paint on the lower end of the rig and its overall paint scheme. However, as nice as that newer Tahoe looks, im not a huge fan of low profile lighting for a FD vehicle. Why not have a normal lighbar for better 360 degree warning? I see it has a boatload of LEDs, but still...maybe because its a Police package Tahoe? Other than that, its real sharp looking.

RIP FF DeMond. Thoughts and prayers to his family, the NFD and especially his children. What a horrible tragedy.

x152... Its quite a ways from Stamford, but theres a place in Peekskill (Buchanan address, Montrose Fire District lol) that specializes in storing antique cars, as well as boats and RV's. Im sure they would charge a fee, but maybe they'd go easy on ya being an FD?
