  1. Bloomberg just reported at press conference approximately 80 homes now damaged or totally destroyed on Breezy Point. My heart goes out to all those who lost everything and to the brave FDNY, NYPD and other emergency personnel working so hard these past several hours!
  2. Thinking of all out there in this. Thank you and stay safe!
  3. Charlie, Was a true pleasure to know such a good guy! Was a honor to know you as well as work with you on a few fires over the years! Rest in Peace my brother!
  4. As soon as I can, I will have a few more photos including compartments and inside the cab. Thank you for the well wishes!
  5. I also believe West Harrison and Chappaqua Fire go on standby in quarters.
  6. Rest in peace brother. Thoughts and prayers are with his friends and family during this difficult time.
  7. So sad to hear. Rest in peace Lenny.
  8. RIP Brother. Prayers and Codolences to his family and friends.
  9. From what I know, and I'm sure the chief can verify once he knows more on here is that we settled with the insurance company and are looking to move foward as fast as possible to replace our rig. We are obviously looking to KME to replace R35 and I have seen some drawings of possible replacements. Will keep you posted as the info becomes available.
  10. Hearts and Prayers to the Townes family and friends during this difficult time. Rest in Peace Brother. God has another angel watching us.
  11. I'll get back to you on the shirts. Will find out more for you.
  12. I knew Joey since 2nd grade. There aren't enough words to say how GREAT of a person and friend he was to so many of us. RIP old friend. You will be missed.
  13. Great SHOTS!!!! Thanks so much for taking the time to put them together.
  14. Word I hear is that the scores are supposed to be out next month.
  15. It was tough to hear the news about our rig. The good news is that it doesn't seem to be a total loss. Major damage was only in the cab. The pump and body seem to be unharmed. From what I know, I believe the rig is headed back to KME to be fixed. Keep you posted.
  16. Great shots!!!! Great point about the construction. Be safe!
  17. Thanks for the info.
  18. I'm curious as well. I have seen a Yonkers Fire Boat labeled Marine 1 with the 1 in green paint dry docked for the last two years. Is this a funding issue or is it retired. Thanks
  19. Great Shots! How extensive was the damage?
  20. Great pics Frank. Let's keep them in our prayers.
  21. What is the material made of that covers the boat? Really awesome looking though!! Best of luck with it.
  22. JBJ, That's a great idea about the flat roof. Something we should definitly look into. I will try to get some pictures of the training center to put up, here. Have old ones but nothing new. Our building now has 2 burn rooms. One room can be used as a simulated basement fire scenario. The other is on the second floor. Both give good heat in the room itself and to the floors above. Along with the burn room on the second floor, we have moveable walls to change the floor plan. Our third floor has simulated attic with access to the roof simulator. The top floor has a ladder to the roof of the building. The entire building also has a full standpipe system. On one of our doors in the building we have an older model forceable entry door, but it is currently OOS. Waiting on a part to fix. We also use our building for the bailout training. I hope to have some pictures soon to share.
  23. GREAT SHOTS from the air! Yeah, West Harrison got dispatched for standby in PCFD HQ around 3:10 or so. 2502 and Eng 265 stood by. Tough conditions, glad no one hurt.
  24. Capt, Couldn't agree with you more. Mr. Buckles, thank you so much for all you have done to serve your country. RIP. Prayers are with you and your family .
  25. I saw this morning on the way to work all the mess. Ladder 14 (Spare/Former L12) was set up on Locust and Clinton and looked like master stream from Eng 22 was hitting the front of the building at 7 this morning. Tough fire and a lot of hose stretched.
