I would follow the manufacturers instructions. Here are two additional sites that might help. US Consumer Product Safety Commission http://www.cpsc.gov/cpscpub/pubs/466.html Underwriters Labortories http://safetyathome.com/home-safety/home-safety-articles/test-your-carbon-monoxide-iq-and-protect-your-loved-ones/?fbid=sTdQ7AmdVvc

In the Safety Vehicle, the driver side is basically set up the same way with the Handi-Talkie Battery Charger, TIC Charger and Flashlight charger. On the passenger side we have a battery charger and we have stored our medical bags there for easy access. In the rear compartment we have a Command Board, IC Vests, Life Jackets, Mobile Repeater, RIT Pack. We too are at a future date are to have a draw installed in the back along with an Air Pack Holder. When I am working again I will take some pictures of the set up and post them under the New YFD Safety Vehicle Topic.

Geez... I'd better be careful then when your aide is driving me when I have to work B2, he'll be pushing it all the time. His luck... he will press it and it will short out and eject him instead of me!!!.... now wouldn't that be so typical...lol

Well said Joe. It was very much appreciated by everyone. It doesn't matter what the patch on our uniforms read, we are all one large brotherhood and family and we all saw that today. Thank You

I know this doesn't directly pertain to The XJ 85® I-joist from Georgia-Pacific, that Barry originally posted for us. I received a link to WISN (an ABC affliate) from Milwaukee on a news video back in Nov. 2008. I don't know if anyone has seen this video or a link was posted here previously. But it has to do with Wood I Beam Joists (TJI) and effects on them under fire conditions. http://www.wisn.com/video/17971947/index.html I noticed on the website that they added a two more segments to this story on March 18 & 19, 2009. Here is the link to those videos: http://www.wisn.com/video/index.html All three videos can be found on the menu of videos below the video player on the website.

"Find your ductwork's happy place. Run it in conditioned space." Should be re-phrased to read: Find Your Ductwork's Happy Place. While Increasing a Firefighters Chance In Going to the Pearly Gates.

Sad News to hear. RIP Condolences to his family & friends. A lot of credit to his fellow band members; to be able to continue on with the rest of the parade route. It had to be very difficult for them.

If I remember correctly, I do not believe that the Poughkeepsie Journal or local news media reporting anything about TRT's being called in or on stand-by. Just that the New Hamburg FD, Poughkeepsie Town PD, Mobile Life and a private heavy equipment company. Not saying there wasn't one called in, but that's how it was reported. Obviously someone from the FD involved would be the best to answer that question, as previously stated.

Dan, It was nice meeting you too. Nice pic, thanks for sharing them. (Especially being that my daughter was one of the girls carrying the band banner and the wife "left" the camera at home as she ran out of the house).

Zing..that's gotta hurt That's why I would go with his answer anyway.... rumor has it that he will be going to Batt 1.

Yikes... At least the guy on the ladder in PPE was using the buddy system and backing him up to keep him from falling off the roof and getting injured!!!
