Yes, I remember the 2 Chevy Suburbans with Yellow and Blue Lettering "PARAMEDICS" on them. Looked very sharp! I also remember someone on this board who did A LOT of work to get this Paramedic program up and running. As a resident of the City of Peekskill... Chris192 THANK YOU!

I remember hearing this call come in. Yes, GOOD CALL on the Chief's part! "Starting Out Resources At The Right Time" What a great thread.... ALL of this can apply to Fire, Police, and EMS. (Examples) Fire: FASTeam, Tankers, Additional Engines & Trucks, EMS, PD, Haz Mat, C & O Team, Tech Rescue, Marine Unit, Divers, Etc. EMS: ALS units, STAT Flight, additional EMS units, FD, PD, Trauma Alert to the ER, Etc. Police: Additional PD units, FD, EMS, ESU, Detectives, Aviation, K9, Marine Unit, Divers, Crime Scene Unit, Etc. WHEN IT DOUBT SEND THEM OUT! You can always return agencies or units if you don't need them.

MTA Police Officers have full Police Powers in the State of New York and the limited in the State of Connecticut. They are sworn Police Officers in both states. I have a friend who completed his MTA Police Training at the NYPD Academy, after he graduated he had to go for additional CT Training. YOU SHOULD HAVE THE RESPECT TO SLOW DOWN FOR ANY POLICE CAR YOU SEE ON THE ROADS! Just because the Police Car says MTA, DEP, DEC, or XYZ Police Dept does not mean if you are being stupid they can't NAIL YOU or stop you and call someone who will! Slow down if you see WCPD Air 2 also! haha

I've noticed a lot of the H.E.L.P. Trucks with more and more RED LIGHTS. It started with the lightbars having a couple Red to the rear and the other day one passed me that had a full Red lightbar. Nothing against them, the guys do a great job and are a huge help to Fire, Police, EMS but why the Red Lights? Are they an "Emergency Vehicle" ??? I would think sticking with AMBER is much better for SAFETY especially on the roadways. Thoughts? Any H.E.L.P. guys on here?
