  13. Partyrock... Yea, our old Engine 134 was HUGE! But from 1989 to 2007 it did the job. In 1989 we purchased the former E134 and the former L45 from Pierce. The ladder was a 105' rear mount. Funny thing is when you parked the two rigs side by side they were just about the exact same size.
  14. TOMORROW! Who's Going?
  15. Back in my Armored Car days I ordered an ASP thru Galls online with no problem what so ever. http://www.gallsinc.com Most Police Supply/Uniform shops do have them and will sell them to you if you have some type of Police, EMS, Security ID. I know last time I was at Olinville in the BX they had them. Unless you are properly trained and certified I would NOT hit some one with it. PS If any PO wants one it's sitting here in the box collecting dust. I have the leather holster for it too.
  16. After watching news story after news story on local news stations I just had to put this one out here in the Law Enforcement community. UNDERAGE DRINKING.... While in High School 1989-1993 I would party on occasion with friends. House Party at a Private Home, Blue Mountain-Peekskill, Georges Island-Montrose, Riverfront Park-Peekskill. We had some FUN times. We would meet up have a few beers, Every now and then if we were lucky maybe a Keg or two. Sometimes even had a 1 AM BBQ which was great. We had a good time. Never got too crazy. No one got hurt or locked up. We looked out for each other. I remember a County PO once found us drinking in Blue Mountain. He broke our chops and then made us pour out EVERY single beer told us to leave. We were all very respectful and left. Could he have prob locked up every one of us? ABSOLUTELY! 1993 was not that long ago. (I think ) haha Is UNDERAGE DRINKING really that out of hand today? I am sure we have all had our young years of fun but I never remember it being this bad or is it just me? Your thoughts?
  17. Hudson, Very good topic. Inadequate Manpower On Scene = FASTeams going to work. Call out for more Manpower not put a FASTeam to work. Not all departments have FASTeams. Yes, I have also heard FASTeams being called in from several miles away to cover for the FASTeam that were put to work. Why? Are FASTeams "Going to Work" for a Firefighter Down or In Trouble? No! I fully understand the Manpower Issues but my question is this.... Should a FASTeam be put to work for Firefighting duties without another FASTeam being on scene? No Firefighter wants to stand around, We ALL want to help but are we hurting ourselves? What happens when XXX FASTeam is put to work and the $%&@ hits the fan? FASTeam is great, So happy to have you Brothers but lets not abuse them.
