Maybe promote EMTBravo.com a little more and less for EMTBravo.net and just call it "Message Boards" ??? I dunno. It seems (my opinion) you have a lot of branches of the original EMTBravo.com which is great but maybe focus on one and make it huge!!!! You run several sites which I am sure takes a lot of time, stress, and $$$. EMTBravo.com Stickers? WEEKLY PHOTO UPDATES? "ACTION" or "HOT SHOTS" ? Let people come here and see what we are all about. September 11, 2001 I was at home sleeping, just got off working an overnight. About 9:15 am my nextel started going crazy with calls from friends watching it on TV. I went to the Firehouse shortly after watching the Towers come down live on TV. About an hour or so later the phone rang at the Firehouse and it was 60-Control. Westchester FD's are being requested to report to the Fire Training Center to be deployed to New York City. I am very proud to be a part of a group of Peekskill Firefighters both Career and Volunteer who boarded Engine 131 and off to NYC we went that afternoon on September 11th. We were staged for several hours at E81/L46 in the Bronx with numerous other Westchester FD's. I felt so helpless that whole day. Later that night we were sent to Yonkers Raceway parking lot. I remember waking up the next morning having slept in my bunker pants and using my turnout coat as a pillow kinda feeling like "this sucks, sleeping on pavement in my gear" but then reality hit me HARD how many lives were lost the night before and I had some nerve to complain about sleeping in gear on cold pavement. Suddenly that cold pavement didn't matter. In the days and weeks to follow I did make it down to Ground Zero a few times. Anyway...... IT'S SOMETHING I WILL NEVER FORGET! GOD BLESS! 20Truck, No disrespect taken and thanks for that remark. I know some members of SHVAC and SHFD. I happen to like everyone and no issues with anyone at all. For the record, I was a big supporter for someone in one of the incidents as were other members of this site. Feel free to PM me, we'll chat more.

First, and most important I mean no disrespect to ANY - Sleepy Hollow Police Department member, - Sleepy Hollow Fire Department member, - Sleepy Hollow Ambulance Corps member. If ANY of you ever needed me I'd have your back in a second. Now, with that being said is it me or do we have a SERIOUS issue in Sleepy Hollow? An incident happened a few years ago with a Sleepy Hollow FD Assistant Fire Chief who was a Sleepy Hollow Police Officer. Then the Westchester County DA got involved in a incident with Sleepy Hollow FD and Sleepy Hollow PD. Some of the same people involved. Now the Sleepy Hollow VAC is going against the Police? Once again some familiar names in the incident. Is someone stirring the pot? Someone have an agenda? I won't judge and I won't Monday morning quarterback ANY of the incidents but I have never seen a local Fire, Police, and EMS in the press at war with each other so much. WHY? What does this accomplish? BATTLE OF THE BADGES? NO! We ALL suffer in the end! It takes a long time for an agency to build up a good working relationship with each other and just one incident to destroy it. Sleepy Hollow seems to be one after another. WORK TOGETHER, WIN TOGETHER! Let's put this whole thing to rest.

With all due respect, I don't think a Call Audit or CME should be conducted in a BAR. Individuals and organizations need to be particularly aware of recent court rulings on the issue of vicarious liability. The sponsoring party of an event where alcohol is served can be held liable when a person consuming alcohol at that event is involved in an accident resulting in personal injury or death. Just MY two cents!

Date: 09/03/07 Time: 2046 HRS Location: Hudson River Frequency: 46.26, 46.18 Units Operating: Verplanck FD Marine, Peekskill FD Marine, and Rockland FD Marine Units Description Of Incident: Report of a Boat in Distress per USCG Writer: RWC130 USCG reports a call from a boater on the Hudson River near Viking Boat Yard in Verplanck who saw Emergency Flares being shot up into the sky. 2055 HRS Verplanck FD requests that Montrose FD Marine Unit also be dispatched. Westchester County PD Marine Unit not available. 2059 HRS Rockland County Sheriff Marine Unit in contact with the boater (Tug Boat) who called in seeing the Flares go up on Marine CH 16. 2108 HRS Rockland County Sheriff Marine Unit has located the Boat in Distess IFO King Marina in Verplanck and will escort them to safety. All FD units in service.

LT, With all due respect... If an EMS agency or unit is going to "mark up" response times on paper or on the air with any dispatcher don't you think that can still happen? Is it really that big of a deal if I am on scene at 1706 HRS or 1706 HRS and 21 SECONDS? NYS DOH Bureau of EMS does not require SECONDS for any response times or VITAL SIGNS of the patient on the State PCR's. If I were to call on scene on my company radio 1st and then to DC911 on the county radio and it shows Unit XX on scene with company at 1706 HRS and 21 SECONDS but with the county 1706 HRS and 26 SECONDS does that mean I lied? or just didn't switch channels fast enough on the radio? For the record I do not work for a Commercial EMS agency so I honestly could care less. I just think something smells VERY FISHY with this. Just for a little laugh... Remember the scene from the movie Mother, Juggs, and Speed with Bill Cosby F & B Ambulance Service? Bill says to the Unity Ambulance Driver "That is our patient" and the Unity Driver says "No way other, this is our patient" Bill then says "Now how are you gonna transport that patient with 2 flat tires" ? LOL
