  11. I guess I should have never sold my Motorcycle. Would be GREAT to have now! lol
  12. I hope everyone jumps on this opportunity to help keep EMTBravo running!
  13. Very sad news! They should do the right thing for this Trooper. Unfortunately, the New York State Police do NOT have a "light duty" or "desk job" position for Troopers. You can be assigned to Dispatch or Desk but MUST always be ready for duty as a Trooper. It's my understanding your have to be 100% fit for duty 24/7. Some local PD's do allow "light duty" but NOT the New York State Police. Maybe any Troopers on here can add/correct me?
  14. Rest In Peace FF Remling
  15. Who is the ambulance manufacturer or dealer? How about speaking with your local Ford dealer? I'd suggest you try contacting them and explain your situation. Maybe they could help you guys out? GOOD LUCK! Keep us posted on how you make out.
  16. As mentioned, If this truly happened as the article said..... WOW!!!
  17. If you are going to DRINK, then DON'T DRIVE!!! I will be totally honest here, years back I went through the "crazy nights" of drinking at local bars then drove home. I am sure we all did. Right? Nothing like that 3 AM Cheeseburger Deluxe! lol Seriously... Was it smart? NO! Am I very lucky I didn't get pulled over? YES! I am even more lucky that I was never involved in an Accident. I could have hurt or killed myself or someone else on the road. Yes, you have the right to REFUSE a Sobriety Test but we should be in the mind set not to REFUSE a Sobriety Test but rather REFUSE TO DRIVE DRUNK!!!! .08 DON'T BLOW IT! God Bless and Be Safe!
  18. EMTBravo is back (again) Whoooo Hoooooo!!!! Poor Seth, STRESS?
  19. UPDATED NEW YORK STATE BLUE LIGHT LAW http://www.safeny.com/bluelite.htm Now, Wanna know what's SAD? With all due respect to EVERYONE Do you see a problem? I THINK BLUE LIGHTS HAVE BEEN BEAT TO DEATH! If you have one, two, five, ten, GREAT! If it's Rotating, Strobe, LED, GREAT! If it's 35, 50 Watts or 1,000 Watts and will blind a UFO, GREAT! Now... If you need one, BUY IT! If you don't have one and don't care, SUPER! If you don't like them, COOL! ENOUGH BLUE LIGHTS! Sorry, Just my TWO cents! I am OK now. lol BE SAFE!

  22. I got one... Back a few years ago I was in an Ambulance with my partner responding to a person struck by a vehicle. While responding all of a sudden the siren cuts out after hitting a bump. No Yelp, Wail, Nothing but... the PA worked. As my partner drove I grabbed the mic for the PA and began to make verbal "Siren Sounds" All the cars pulled over and we made it to the call. Person who was struck was OK, RMA. As for our Siren it was fixed a couple hours later. Shhhhh don't tell DOH. LOL!
  23. Tappan Zee Bridge Jumpers Is it just me or does it seem like the jumpers off the Tappan Zee Bridge are on the rise? I saw on News12 just now that on Thursday April 3 TWO Yes TWO! people jumped off the Tappan Zee Bridge in two separate incidents just hours apart. Last weekend another.... Couple weeks before that another. I guess the Suicide Signs and Emergency Call Boxes did a lot of good! Why doesn't someone (i.e. State DOT and or Politicians) step up and realize... HEY, WE HAVE A SERIOUS PROBLEM!!!!!! This is not something a SIGN or CALL BOX is going to fix. GIVE ME A BREAK! PUT UP A 10-12 FOOT HIGH FENCE!!!!!!! Having a fence may not always STOP a Suicide from happening but it will SLOW DOWN a jumper or STOP and make them think twice "Do I really wanna do this" As it is now on the Tappan Zee and Bear Mountain Bridges you can stop your car, get out, walk to the edge, and JUMP! CRAZY!!! If it saves ONE life it would be worth it. ANYONE WITH ME ON THIS??? Just my TWO cents!
