  1. For several years the NYPD used the Motorola Saber II's aka "The Brick" Motorola designed a custom Saber II just for the NYPD. All of the NYPD radios had "NYPD" or "NYCPD" labeled on them. Some special units did and still do have Motorola Saber III's. As far as I know and have seen some of the Motorola Saber II's are still in use today, not many. The NEW radios you see which have been in service a couple years now are the Vertex Standard VX-520 Again, the radios are custom made for NYPD. Motorola Saber's are GREAT! I own two of them. 1 UHF and 1 VHF. I hope this helps? If you are interested in buying one try E-BAY but it's not easy to find Mototola dealers to program them.

When they are done, I'd like to tie this LOSER to the back of my vehicle while on the Sprain and watch him try to keep up! Whoops... Sorry!

  18. Mayor Clinton Young during his campaign for Mayor stated numerous times that Mount Vernon needs a CHANGE. Yes, it absolutely does!!! Remember Mayor Young if it wasn't for the Firefighters pushing and bringing in the other unions YOU might not be Mayor! Keep the promises to the Brothers of the FDMV! Why not start with the "CHANGE" in the Mount Vernon Fire Department? - New Fire Commish - Productivity and Accountability - New Equipment - New Apparatus - Additional Training/Classes - Hire More Firefighters / Increase Staffing Levels (FF SAFETY!) - Clean-Up Firehouses and make the MUCH NEEDED REPAIRS which is a slap in the face to ALL of the City of Mount Vernon Firefighters who must work in the horrible conditions. What better way to say "City Hall Does NOT Care" ??? Respectfully, Just my TWO cents! BE SAFE!
