Taser Guns are a very useful tool for Police Officers that come with a lot of controversy as did Pepper Spray and the PR24 several years back. Once the "Smoke" clears I am sure you will see more and more Police Officers carrying Taser Guns. Remember a Taser Gun is a Non Lethal Weapon. Why do people make such a big deal about it? How come you don't hear complaints when a Police Department goes from 9MM Firearm to a 40 or 45? Don't forget the Shotgun, AR-15, or MP-5 Give Police Officers the tools they need to do the job and remain SAFE on the street!

Attack Stance? Do you mean "Blading" him? Gray Shirt = Police Officer White Shirt = EMS It appears the EMS Crew was assisting the Police Officer who was alone. As you see things can get UGLY real fast at any type of emergency. PD, FD, EMS. USE CAUTION! BE SAFE!

Today, October 22, 2008 at 10:30 AM Indian Point conducted another "FULL VOLUME" Siren Test. Is this a joke? "Full Volume" What does a Low Volume sound like? I could hardly hear the Full Volume and I live about 300 FT away from one of the many sirens. You CANNOT hear the New Sirens! When is someone going to do something about this? Anyone else hear or NOT hear them this morning? Old Sirens were 100% better! When they went off you knew it was the IP Siren! My house would rumble.

I received this e-mail today, thought I would share: FEMA and State Grants Won't Affect Your Social Security Mon, 20 Oct 2008 00:00:00 -0500 INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- Some Hoosiers have expressed concern that state and federal grants might cause them to sacrifice Social Security benefits, pay additional taxes, or give up income-based benefit programs, but state and federal officials say that concern is unfounded.

I have to agree... VERY WELL SET UP! Do we worry more about how "Good" it looks rather than how well it's set up? I will take a Work Horse over a Parade Truck anyday!

MoFire24, LOL!!!! I don't think anyone is on here telling a FD how to fight a fire. I hope not? Just a chat and some "suggestions" on available resources. I have learned a lot on here about various FD, PD, EMS agencies. The equipment they have and what might be available to you upon request. Having a close friend who is in NYPD Aviation I know (if available) they are always willing to help! I think Rockland County also has a Chopper, I don't know if they have a Bucket. Having a Chopper even if just for observation purposes may be of some assistance to the I/C. MAPHOAC, GIT-R-DONE!

Call NYPD! They came up for the Somers Brush Fire, they have a Bucket.
