I agree reporters can be obnoxious but you don't put your hands on people, especially while a camera is present.

I wish to echo the same words. Very good job to the crew at 60.

I thought so also. I filled out a survey sometime back in regards to the cirricullum. I would also like to see emergency management as well.

We roll our rescue-pumper to all mva's. It has been used to block all lanes of traffic. We recently purchased a very large orange sign that says " accident ahead" that is placed about 125' ahead of the accident. We have used it allready and seems to be helpful.

This only promotes animosity. Very tacky and distasteful.

Simple favorite of mine.... Marinate chicken breasts in a mixture of barbecue sauce and beer with fresh garlic for a few hours. Throw on the grill. Put over brown rice mixed with veggies.

How should the incident been handled? I think what was done was approiate. He put his crew and the public's safety on the line. Who knows if he got away this time would the next time been some kid he hit?

For some reason I feel this movie is too soon, especially for families who lost people.

Would be nice only driving 2 hours instead of 5 for training. We will have a new govenor next year. Time will tell.

Here we go... #1 Parades are social functions..period. They should not be mandatory. If you want to mandate something....mandate training. Training saves lives...not marching. #2. Volunteer means the avenue you chose to serve. We have a job to do and that is to protect the public. Refer to #1 on how we can do it best. #3 We have an obligation to keep eachother safe. Refer to #1 on how we can do it best. Our prioritites need some attention !!!

That's the key. If you have and enforce guidelines I believe it can work. My dept is all volunteer so all members are required to respond to the station. If you miss the rigs and it is the "big one" we will come and get you. If it is not, we handled it with what we had. I could see responding to the scene in combo departments where you have fulltime firefighters rolling when the call comes in.

I believe public buildings need to meed ADA standards. When we upgraded our station years back, we had to put in a ramp so someone in a wheelchair who wishes to attend the commissioners meeting which is a public meeting would have access as well to be able to vote as our station is also used during all elections.

Prayers for a speedy recovery...

It was a belief when I first joined in 1980 that if your ba**s were not broken you were not liked/accepted. Pranks were pulled and jokes were abundant but most of the guys took it and ran. Very few didn't and usually didn't last. I do not believe in harasment but I do believe a little breaking is harmless. You have to laugh sometimes....
