Accountability is crucial. How it is set up and ran is even more crucial. Maybe there are pre-arranged plans with mutual aid members in this scenario. Not knowing the whole story makes it hard to comment on it. Could of been a shortage of manpower? Mutual aid chief? Pictures don't always tell the whole story. Perhaps the dept in question has not transitioned to bunker pants. Not every dept in the US is NFPA compliant. There is nothing wrong with asking questions. We all learn from answers to questions we ask. It is when one stops asking questions is the time to worry. There is a wealth of knowlegde on here so tap into it.

I am doing some hazmat training in the near future. Does anyone know where I can obtain a powerpoint presentation on how to use the Emergency Response Guide if such a presentation exists? I looked on the USDOT site and cant seem to find one. Thanks

Allthough they knocked us (Westlake HS) out in the 2nd round of finals I want to congratulate Croton High School for clinching the championship today in Kingston. They played hard and earned it. Now they go to Syracuse for the state champs. Good luck!!

I believe the referendum did pass for OVAC. Not sure how many buses they are running and I believe they have both vol and paid.

QA and QI's are not done in public forums such as this and I don't think it is proper to make assumptions based on what is percieved. Lets allow the investigation to present the facts.

I could never understand why that law exists especially when we are all covered under VFBL in NY.

You can not hold membership in 2 fire departments but you can be a mutual aid member with another department. We have has d pre-arranged mutual aid memberhsip with members from other departments.
