Perhaps it is in the firefighters union contract that they can drive?
-
The officer worked out of my sons precinct PSA-5. May he rest in peace and may God watch over his family.

We seem to find money to send overseas often to countries that would rather see us not exist anymore and will find money for thee supposed refugees but when it comes to our own first responders and veterans and our citizens in general there is always a problem. I as a Republican am embarassed and outraged that the Republicans voted in the matter that they did.

Well said Cogs

I have seen first hand how political correctness has ruined the fire service. What used to be expressing your opinions or good old fashion ball breaking has now become violations of harassment policies. You now have to be careful what you say or else risk being disciplined in fact being dismissed from the fire department.

What also is troubling to me as a retired correction officer is that the media refers to the officers who work in the prison as guards. They are correction officers and are trained law enforcement professionals who do a tough job dealing with the killers, rapists, thieves, and drug dealers on a daily basis. Most people could not do this job I have seen many quit not too long after the got into the facility. Guards don't get spit on, assaulted, threatened, etc.

I believe there are more involved than just her. This was a well thought out plan that had to involve people who had access to the tools. Civilian movement is limited ( at least where I used to work) so it is unlikey she had access to a shop or room where the tools are stored without help. They have to establish a chain of events as to what hands were the tools passed through untill they got into the hands of the inmates. Somehow they knew the layout of the pipe chases behind the cells, the direction of the pipes, and where the manhole cover was. It could take time before they truly know how this was done and who helped.

Any other exams being given for police that day?
-
You won't see riots or protests because we are civilized people who do not resort to tactics like the thugs do and look for excuses to loot or destroy people's livelyhood. Prayers for a speedy recovery for the officer and I hope the tugs that did this get theirs.

Would anyone expect any kind of intelligent statement from Davis?
-
Not being in the paid services I can not comment on that. My statement is based on what I have witnessed personally in a volunteer agency and it isn't pretty
-
True statement. I have witnessed first hand how clicks single out people and bully them. Sad part is many of those in these clicks are elected by the public in good faith to make sure the agency is doing the right thing but instead using their authority to throw people out for no good reason.

I am glad this ended with no loss of life both the firefighters and law enforcement. The article say the former members was in a dispute with the fire company. My guess is this goes way beyond that. And I am not excusing what he did and he should do time I also think he needs help. There is a mental illness crisis in this country that is exploding to levels we have never seen before and it is being ignored.

Riding officer to a car fire responding on a parkway and we notice people are pointing at us as we are going. I happen to look in the side view mirror and see a long line of yellow behind us. Our entire bed of 4" hose was dumped onto the parkway. Turns out the friggin fire wasn't even in our district.

I am looking for people who were in a position to have to file an article 78 with the NYS Supreme Court against their fire district. If so please send me an e-mail at amanc2196@aol.com. Thank you
