"Unless you have extensive experience searching people in an arrest situation and finding and not finding hidden contraband on them then you would not be able to accurately say that something " isn't right." As one who has extensive experience searching prisoners I have to agree with Crime Cop and my experience was limited to post arrest when situations were calm ( in most cases). These perps are crafty and know how to hide things. They use every inch/crack of thier bodies to conceal stuff. At times things can get by and unfortunately when it does it could be deadly. And a .380 automatic is very small and easy to conceal.

Perp got what he deserved. Prayers for a speedy recovery to those wounded and to the innocent person that was killed by the perp.

"All roof's are Limestone as they use it to catch rain water for home use." if I am not mistaken that is in their building code to catch and keep water in a barrel for firefighting purposes. Beautiful country especially Horseshoe Bay.

Sage I can't offer any more advice than what has been given to you by some very credible and knowledgeable people in this forum. I do want to commend you for taking a task most can't or won't do and that is trying to motivate people to engage in the most important element of our business which is training. I have been in your shoes and believe me it is not just the senior members that lack motivation I also see it in the newer ones who seem know it all. Just keep at it. Good luck!!

When I retired from there last year there was an estimated few hundred people that are eligible to retire up untill 2015. I know a ton of people have gone so far this year so my guess is they will hire alot but the county is funny so you never know. As far as your age you best bet would be to call human resources for a definite answer but I do believe you can be procesed but not appointed untill 21. My son and nephew recieved his score on Saturday so the grades are going out. I suggest you take every test out there. If you want more information on the job itself feel free to send me a private message
