I mailed everything out in February, I have 5 responses so far, yes it is about 6 weeks away I would like to hear from more of you.

We had written letters to the chief, had face to face meetings with them as well, we had tape recorded messages on our fire emergency number before 911 but it was still up to who ever answered the call, to tone us out and trip our horn. It never went very far, and when we switched to County from PD our call volume went from 80 calls a year to over 300. We get dispatched to all MVA s that the Medic is called to as well. I say it is much better for our District and the taxpayers to be with the County, all the way around.

It is not simulcast on the trunk, Katonah does the same thing on 46.220 so fire 16 can be heard.

Events will be the same this year, Vendors I need so if you have any or now anyone send it to them or let me know where to send it. I am working on expanding it next year , getting the school and putting it inside, ( The Vendors) that will free up space to use the water for some pumping competion. Also looking into a few other ideas.

I sent out the invites Saturday, should be seeing them in the mail on Monday or so,

Guys calm down as a person that has gone thru this process, we could sign all the petitions letters etc we could find paper for the family still would have to put in an application and the show would have to reach out to them. The show will not act unless the family applies. Like i said in a earlier post it is a long and tedious and heart wrenching thing to go thru when you apply to the show.

I signed the petition tonite I hope the show picks the family,there is a lot more to it than just this petition though so hopefully the rest will work out. The family sure could use the uplifting experience this could give them.

I feel that you should have it on just like the rest of the crew, on the apparatus you drove there, with the way insurance and lawyers work today I feel you have to cover all the bases. Some will say we are nuts for saying this but it is a rule that was put into effect a while back in my Department, if we really think about it why not wear it? We used to tell drivers oh bring it with you and put it on later, It was never put on, except maybe in the winter. There will be that one day we will be glad we did.

Eric I applaud you for what you are doing . My question is why is a taxpayer funded job, getting a stipend for saving money? That is there job to save money. Sorry should not be getting a "Bonus" for that. This not meant to attack Eric in any way.

We had a policy put in place at work a few months ago, this is an expanse of the Federal Law prohibiting all Diesel Commercial trucks from idiling. It was orginally 32 degrees and below you could let trucks idle if you were sleeping in them, at truck stops etc. they have know lowered it to 25 degs. outside, and no means to plug in trucks so block heater can keep engine warm, it makes sense in some degree to me, but do we need a law, more tickets etc.? Big Brother just seems to be getting bigger.

I now that we can not use them where i work, we have to truck it away, when it melts it still ends up in the water shed. 64 gallons of fuel per hour would be cheaper for us than all the trucks and loaders that they hire to move the snow. It would also be better for the reduction of green house gas as well.

Today Starting at 4:30 to 8:30 Pasta Night at Somers Firehouse, Route 202 in Somers,come on over and have some Pasta.

Just a little info I received from a friend of mine on the call was that the excavator was held off from getting into the fire building until after the C&O team finished up, which was not until the following day after 3:00 pm. I am sure that is part of the Fire Departments going back up there that next day.

On that site they have a large amount of excavating, some blasting to do, remove the house and possibly the garage is going that is there as well. They have to make the building Handicap compliant as well,install an elevator,they probaly have to sprinkle it as well.

I was on my way at about 3 40 saw all the smoke and went up rte. 22 instead it was a tractor trailer, and the underside of the trailer was burning as I went by. My wife called me at about 4 45 and said they were pulling apart and unloading the trailer with a backhoe.

Yes he was a brave little boy, He taught me so much I do not know where to begin, He changed the way I am a husband to my wife, the way I am a father to my children,and the way I am a friend to everyone. It made me slow down and enjoy things good or bad. It helped Gina and I to start the organization in his memory. Does it have to go to a public vote? I have been researching some of the NYS laws on fire districts, fire departments, fire departments with contracts to towns and so far I have not read that it needed to come to a vote. I am sure I have not read everything yet so that is why I am asking.

Where the changes wrong? I have changed posts for spelling errors or if I have knowledge of the Incident. as well it is the Moderators that can due it maybe they where the ones that did . I have seen in plenty of Posts it written if you have any additional info PM the Moderator for additional updated information.
