Hey I saw something last nite on Channel 12 trailer is it true Sprint is trying to buy out nextel if it is that would help coverage area ???? Anybody have any info, Yes I have gone thru 8 phones myself but with everything in my life I cant drop Nextel heck I can talk to Gina in Calif. better than i can when we are both in Westchester.

I too agree that they are doing a Great Job,Katonah and our area Batt. we did not have a strong showing for a long time , Its Great to see John at the calls he is Doing a Great job in my Opinion.I will stick my neck out there as an Ex-Chief and say I would have liked to seen him around when I was Chief so Thanks John and Keep up the good work and that is meant to all of the County Co Ordinators. Also if any body has any Concerns call them and tell them they will listen to it.

In Katonah we issue old gear unless we dont have any than you get new right away,Helmet ,Hood,Gloves both structural and extracation,Survivor Light, Leather Boots,PagerSometimes old sometimes new ones ,Goggles for helmets all rigs have masks and a lot of members have there own issued to them as well.

We in Katonah Have the same set up disable call forward on 7 digit and self dispatch, It has been done before the only lag is the time it takes to be notified there is a problem.

Where has all the time gone? Jimboy is still in the hospital, although, seems to be doing better. He is allergic to the Topamax, therefore, he is off of it. The tumor board met and feels it is ok to continue the Proton treatments. Please continue your amazing prayers for Jimboy. Everyone at Loma Linda has been wonderful to us. Jimboy also needed plasma and fluids. This poor little boy is such a trooper. Especially now, because Dale the physical therapist has entered the picture and has made Jimboy his "little challenge". He said Jimboy will be walking again in a "short" time. He will have him up with the walker quickly. Keep your prayers going. So, we are plugging along, missing everyone, and sending our love. Big Jim will be home on Saturday AM at 8:20. The girls will be thrilled to see him. I will be taking the holidays as a major lesson in life about how thankful I am for being able to always spend the holidays with my family. I will never take that for granted again. When things seem to be the normal pattern, I think we take that just as routine. This year I am blessed to realize how important and thankful I am to have my family and friends. As painful as it will be, it is such a reminder to us all why the holidays, love and faith are so important. I do now look at the holidays differently. Not that it will be easy, it will not. But, I know I have a lot of great people out there praying - ALL OF YOU. Thank you. I am learning to take each step of this as a lesson of life. Some days it truly stinks, but because of the love and support I can handle it. I will be in touch with more news soon. Hello all well we celebrated Thanksgiving Sunday Nov. 28 2004 we were able to bring Jimmy home from hospital last nite,all tests were negative no blood clots in brain blood vessels all vessels were good no fractures all blood work is negative. He is having NO seizure activity at this time heck is left arm and leg are even better maybe his problem has been seizures for a little while (just my guess though)they added topomaxe to his seizure regimen of medication it makes him sleepy after he takes it but i was told he will adjust to that over a couple of weeks. We are waiting to start treatment until Thursday morning the only thing so far that any one has come up with is allergic reaction to anestesia so we all decided to hold off till we get that part squared away.Plus the doctors all meet on Wed. mornings for tumor board and we feel more comfortable with this idea.Hopefully we think we are back on the Road to recovery again. OH by the way its colder here than at home. So enjoy it I never thought we would say its warmer in NY than Calif. at this time of year.But it is well God Bless everyone keep lil Jim in yourhoughts and Prayers andBE SAFE OUT THERE.

Okay this has been a tough 2 days for him, Jimmy had his second treatment Tuesday morning when we got him back to our Condo he seemed ok, about 11:30 or so he seemed to get a fever so we called the doctor at proton and we took him to the ER at Loma Lind a where he was very restless he was developing a rash on his face , arms and chest so they drew bloods to check for infections they gave benadryl and that seemed to help rash fever was still up around 101.6 his heart rate was up as well , he had a ct scan with and without contrast and that showed blood in the brain fluid but it was not bleeding know so that floored us I hadnt felt that bad since the original diagnose. But anyways they took him up to a room gave him some antibiotics and some adavan to calm him down and that really straightned him out quick.He is getting antibiotic still his fever is normal his Heart rate is Great as are all his stats know so I dont know if he will be home for THanksgiving or in Hospital but he seems to be improving I guess one small step at a time. Please keep Jimmy in your thoughts and Prayers and Happy Thanksgiving To each and everyone of you. BE safe

Well another thought would be Terrorists when Sept.11 th we all got notices to keep FH locked PD to keep up Patrols at Stations . It wasnt that long ago. Some of that Equipment I could not see being good for them to use but other stuff would be good for them. Its just a thought they told us keep our eyes on everything we used at incidents and report missing equipment

Maybe it is time that just like the De con Trailers we get the state and county to fund more foam trailer for the county split them up fairly and lets get them done its great that they gave 1 (one ) to Fairview but thats still a nice ride to Northern West. and why add the extra time to an already crazy situation its time we start to work as a group to do it that is just my opinion it could work actually it needs to work

Hello Every one Well we were supposed to leave today for Calif. but Jimmy boy had other plans he had very very mild seizures today so we took him to WCMC and they checked him out thoughly like they always do. They changed his Meds around and will be giving us some quick acting Meds to take with us to Calif. in case anything happens to him along the way. He is still scheduled to start MOnday we will leave Saturday Night instaed as long as they release him in A M but i am sure they will. His CAT scan showed no change since surgey which I think is a great thing considering he has had no treatments of any kind since middle of Sept. before last surgery.Also remember Turkey Night November 22 at Bedford FD 1900 till Turkeys run out. THANK YOU EVERYONE have all you around us as support has made a devastating problem such as this really proved what we are all about God Bless You Alland you have made us stonger .

Hello everyone we received word today that our insurance company will be reimbersing us for our trip out to Calif. we will be leaving on the 12 th or 13th of November JImmy and Gina will be staying out there thru Dec. 31 he needs 35 treatments and they dont do them on the weekends so it takes them thru to then. No i do not want to leave them but i will and i will fly out and see them when ever possible. It pains me to think of not having them here for any of the holidays but in the same token i would like to have him cured or have it under control and get his life back to normal or a reasonable normal life but i can tell you all this I have learned a few things along the way with this and how helpful you all have been and continue to be. Thank You one and all

hello all We are in Calif. with JImmy we have been here since early Thursday, had a doctors appt.Thursday to go over Jimmys history,boy was that tough having to re live all that, any ways we are glad to be here this will give him the best chance of recovery and hay what the heck Calif. isnt that bad of a place to be. He has an appt. on Monday for screening for intake and Tuesday he has an MRI and Cat scan for planning of treatments than we come home Weds. night for roughly 2 weeks.
