Dear Family and Friends, Jimboy is doing well. He lost a pound this week, but we feel that he is leveling off. We will see what next week brings. He is truly such an incredible inspiration - there are no words to describe what it is like to have such an incredibly strong person and spirit in my life. I am blessed by having such a beautiful family. For many years, I have been joked to and judged about having so many children and most of the joke and judgement has come out of my own mouth. I often questioned myself about having so many children. I even internally beat myself up and felt guilty at times. I know people just didn't understand or were concerned about us, but I am here to tell you now I understand why. It is bigger than me and all of us. I have learned so many lessons from these beautiful children of mine. I would not trade these experiences for anything. The love definitely over powers any other feeling in my life. As they grow, I realize what good people they are and will become. These beautiful children have helped me grow into the person I am and continue to want to be. I want them to "get it", to share, to care and spread there love with those in need at any given time. It really does all start to fall in place the way it is supposed to. When I wake up in the morning these days, I embrace what God has in store for me this day. I am really trying to live and love for the moment. I take what I call "my deep breath of life" to remind myself that I am living and I have a lot of work to get done. The path is already set, I just follow it the best I can, enjoy the good times, wade through the bad times and just pray that I am doing the best I can do. So, now I know that this is my path, and I am so comfortable with it. I will just keep learning from this journey. I never question or ask why. It may never make sense, but so far, I get it. I hope so many learn from our experiences with our family, maybe in some way it will spare some of you the pain and heartbreak we have felt through the years. Maybe just knowing about Jimboy will remind us all about what is important - I pray, but I can say I do get endless emails and cards that tell me that just knowing us and Jimboy has made a difference in their thinking - please continue to use our path and experiences to share your life and love with others. You all have been such a gift from God to our family, and we are so incredibly thankful for every person that we have in our life. So for me tonight, give your children and others a little moment of love. It is love that holds us together. My feelings are very strong today. Jessica has had some more seizures, and will be coming home on Thursday the 21st for an MRI and EEG at Westchester Medical on the 22nd. I am very nervous about this, but continue to remind myself that we will get through this too. I feel guilty sometimes that I am not there with her. I still know this is what she needed to grow up, but it still hurts without her. So please give us a few extra prayers this week. Well my family and friends, I hope I did not hold you hostage with my thoughts for today. Just remember, people remember you for how you make the feel, I say this to myself quite a few times each day and my new Oprah saying "There are no Coincidences." So with that said, I love you each and every one and thank you all for your constant prayers, support and love. Keep praying for all of us, as every night I pray for all of you and thank God for you and your miracles you give to our family. I love you. GinaArena BCC: JA3KFD Dear All, Jimboy had his stitches removed today. He weighed in at 33.5 pounds HE GAINED 5.5 POUNDS - YAHOO He looks good and our goal is about 40 pounds. I will send a picture soon. We are truly on an up swing right now and look forward to spring and just remind ourselves that every day is a new day and to make the most of that day. Keep praying!!!! We are waiting for a call back on the 3 month post radiation MRI, which should be sometime in the 3rd of April. Can you believe it has been almost three months? This little guy is AMAZING, and we owe it all to our fabulous doctors and nurses from coast to coast. Thank you. We know we still have a long road but we are going to do it. Thank you all for your love and support. I don't think I could ever express how deeply I am moved by all of you. God Bless. A lot of you have asked for a Jimboy t-shirt for the "walk the walk." YES they should be on line card as soon as a 10-75 is transmitted by unit on location, I unfortunetly in my 1st month as chief had 2 structure fires, a good friend of mine went down on the 2nd. structure fire, THANK GOD ALS and BLS were standing by on scene, he turned out to be fine. But that was a god send to have them there. When you read this have please every one remember it. Also I thank my friends and commrades in my neighboring depts. when i was chief we would get together often and discuss all these ideas I know I pulled a lot of info. from them.

Dear All, Jimboy is home again, and trying to rest comfortably. The g tube is working beautifully and it looks like he has already gained some weight. He is still sore, but that should subside. He really is an amazing little person. We are blessed every day and thank you for being there. Our next MRI will be at the end of April, so please continue to pray for no growth. He had a CT scan the other day and the tumor is still stable. Everything looks ok. Seizures are the difficult thing but seem to be under control at the moment. Everyday is truly a wait and see. So we will wait and see. Cherish your moments together, and keep smiling. We have been able to laugh a lot more than usual lately, and it really feels good. Laughter truly is the best medicine. Jessica is doing well in Cape Cod and we are so proud of her. She really is blossoming nicely. Although painful for me to let her go, this really is working for her. That really is the important part. I do miss her. Keep praying for our boy to continue his fight and keep up his strength. God has given him an enormous load to bear, but he is doing it all. yes it replaces our 1991 old Chiefs Car that we kept when I replaced it with the new 2001 Suburban Chiefs car we had a utility in the past but had gotten away from it,but wew were able to keep it use it for manpwer to go to Training Center etc. also we were able to take some equipment off engines and Mini Attack as well ie: Electric Pumps Small Generator barricades etc. Also will be used to Pull MDU Unit we have at KFD

I would have to say that the Suburbans are the way to go as well, But to me it dosent matter barn door or lift gate, they do make those nice tents if you have the barn doors to make a command post, also at a mutual aid call i saw a chiefs car with barn doors and he had a large umbrella open and on top of doors for coverage and it worked very nicely.Also feel that the suburban is a great people mover as well. I am partial to Katonahs Suburban Resqustuff did a great job as did Forest on lettering and stripping,our s 10 were a great start for asst. chiefs but the time is coming to replace them with bigger trucks.

Hello Jimmy was brought home today from WCMC he had a G Tube placed on Tuesday , he was having problems with the KO tube it was giving him acid re flux. So we removed the tube and he slowly started eating on his own, Know he is eating 3 small meals a day and we are suplimenting with feedings at nite while sleeping and will load him up after each meal. He had a CAT scan yesterday and the tumor is stable has not changed since Sept. so we will take that . We are just taking it 1 day at a time and following his lead. Sorry about the lack of updates.

Well I can attest that The Town Of Bedford FD's had Training on the MDU in September right before the Republican Convention in NYC we trained on it got all the equipment straightened out.All the propane tanks are filled and ready to gofor heaters all the battery powered equipment is .fully charged. . The orginal post came from some one in another county asking what it meant. Not trying to start anything with any body so do not take it that way.

I thought that MDU was Mass Decon Unit,that is the Initals on the one we have sitting in Katonah FD. It is to be manned by The Town of Bedford FD,s and Mt. Kisco , Has the wash down tent, heaters to heat water , there are tyvek suits to give to people (civilians) if we had to do a mass Deconn if they came out of a WMD or haz mat incident also can be used to deconn firefighters at haz mat or WMD, there are varios hoses and brushes etc.

Well I will Chime in my 2 Cents : I am an Ex Chief , I feel that yes go too parades behave yourself take pride in yourself and your department, I have not agreed and never will agree about putting more emphasis on parades and marching then Fire fighting it says on every thing we Have Fire Department ,I Personally have said If I wanted to March all the Time I would have joined a Band or ( No Offense to Armed Forces I could not Join I tried but was refused for Asthma) I would Join them and March. My Dept. Likes to March yes they even put that thought into all our apparatus when built. I always had a Stand by or told my neighbors when we were marching and would put them on dual dispatch for structure and PIAA call always did it. And yes I have been a member of my dept. for over 20 years

I will as well as my family , Thank God no one else was hurt, unfortunetly This is a reminder to us all when we respond to alarms, That is one busy and congested roadway at that time of day usually 6 lanes of bumper to bumper traffic. That is where we stayed and traveled on that Roadway when we were there with Jimmy, we even checked out that firehouse with him, I do not recall everyones name we meet that day but God Bless them all
