mike, i am not from valhalla, but just make sure if you get someone, get someone from both the independent company and the engine company. the new utility is at the independent and the newer engine is obviously at the engine company. dont think it should be a problem but just make sure. would kinda stink to be able to get only one of the trucks even though the two houses are right down the street from each other.

so interesting to see the new blue lights on an especially fine vehicle. does anybody know if the blue lights will only be added to new trooper cars, or are they going to install them on existing ones as well?

Chris192 makes a good point, if it was in fact the case that all 10 of the SWAT members fired, that would be 11 rounds each, and considering the standard weapons issued to SWAT teams today (whether it be HK MP5s, or colt AR-15/M4 etc) it would be about 1/3 of their magazines each. Considering he had a weapon and had already killed an officer and wounded another, that would be very FEW rounds. Either way, he certainly got what he deserved. may the officer and the police dog rest in peace, and a speedy recovery for the other officer

the deck of my house in nwp has a great view into white plains, and when the tanker crashed into the overpass my parents thought that the city of white plains was under attack. i was only 4 at the time, but i remember waking up and seeing the entire horizon bright orange from the fireball.

site really is great. problem is there are so many people listening now its hard to get on. after you log on you should go to the upper left hand corner where it says internet radio and click feed 1. if the bandwith is not overrun by people listening in, it should just work automatically on the existing media player you have on your computer. hope this helps.

thats wierd because that wasnt the one that I saw. the one that i saw had traditional white and blue county pd colors w/ an LED light bar on top.

while driving through the valhalla village today, i saw a westchester county police dodge sprinter parked on the side of the road. It did not have any special markings on it to what I could see (whether it be bomb squad, SWAT etc.) and had LEDs, so im assuming it is somewhat new. Can it be that this is just a regular patrol vehicle? Any info would be great to rid of my curiosity.

the independent fire co. received a new utility about a month ago. i think the reason that you see the apparatus switched around is that the tower ladder is out of service for some repairs (not sure what but i believe they fixed some minor things) and they placed the new utility in the tower ladder bay. hopes this answers your question

My department added the buddy breathe to our packs and they make it difficult to line up the bottle with the pack. However, when you are out of air and they can hook up to get you out, its certainly worth the burden.

yup eng 74/75 are although 75 was placed as a spare after the arrival of L47 in 2001

congrats yorktown ladder looks awesome. i just have one question... after seeing x635s new pics today (very good by the way) i noticed that there isnt a pack built into the officer's seat and im not sure about the others. are the packs in a compartment instead?

I know that Valhalla was to receive their new engine around the new year, but that time has come and gone. After talking to some Jrs over there, I then heard that the latest was supposed to be early February. However, that time has come and gone as well. Anybody have any info on when it will be delivered, or why it hasnt been delivered already?

648eng119 one quick question: i know that valhalla was planning on making the new eng 82 as a twin to 84. did they make any changes, even subtle like roll up doors LEDs etc, that you know of?

our department uses Lukas tools. we have a cutter, spreader, ram, and a c cutter. im only a jr corps member and am greatful to have some time on any tools at all, but would love to try the different types to see the differences.
