  1. What would have been funny is if they didn't find it and every time the Red Sox came to new Yankee Stadium, they lost!!!
  2. Looks great! Also, for all of you that don't know your fire apparatus history, the bell hanging off the officer's side of the cab is a Seagrave tradition going way back to their original apparatus. I like the look of it but I would be the first to admit I'd be worried I smack it against something and rip it off!
  3. The "New Yorker" aka the N5A is only NFPA compliant. The "Sam Houston" aka the N6A is OSHA compliant. The difference is that the "Sam has a higher crown do to a space between the leather and the impact cap in side the helmet. I prefer the N5A but make sure you check out what your department prefers before you buy it.
  4. I think there was a comment on LoHud like Rob said about the Suicide call boxes. But unfortunately, people that have their minds set on killing themselves, then they unfortunately are going to go through with it. They do need to put a fence or something on the bridge to prevent people from jumping to kill themselves.
  5. I agree though I don not like the "look" of them on the Impel and Velocity. But also they are great when looking into them, they are right out in front of you. Though being used to having door mounted mirrors, I noticed them on a bus up in Boston while I was riding it and man talk about the "view" you get. These definitely beat the large style mirrors that are mounted on the corners of truck cabs and have to look through the side curve of the windshield.
  6. I couldn;t make it, any shirts left?
  7. If its only on the outside and also along the seams, then take a damp cloth and wipe it down. Put a little Fantastic on it (the window cleaner stuff only) on a rag and wipe again. The take a dry cloth after your done cleaning to wipe it down. Don't wipe or press hard on the screen or its edges. It shouldn't hurt anything and if you need the inside clean then take it to someone who knows what they are doing. I used to work on laptops in my former life and they are a lot easier to manipulate than desktop PCs. I know how to take them apart but you have to be really careful around the screen. Also if your laptop "migrates" as you say, you are going to pick up dust, dirt, grease, et. al. no matter where you go. You should at least wipe the laptop down once a week.
  8. You sure its not a build up of dust and other junk, like you would find on the fan grills of your CPU? Also where do you have your computer located? Definitely do not take it apart!
  9. Though they are yellow! LOL
  10. How about another angle, maybe the cops were in on it. Just a though. I do see where Chris' concern is with the joke though.
  11. SNAP!!! lol
  12. My last EMT refresher, were were being taught 30:2 and also the 100 compression methods. Its being taught it is important to keep the blood circulating with the O2 that is already in the blood system than trying to give mouth-to-mouth which technically introduces more CO2 into a patient's respiratory system. The only true introduction of O2 is by a two person method with the use of an ambuve bag and a connected O2 cylinder.
  13. There has been an ongoing battle with the ffs and their chief ever since before the nine LODDs the department suffered last year at the warehouse fire. Its been an ongoing battle and widely publicized.
  14. I think Slayer should start an online scanner feed for us!!! Just teasin'!
  15. Keith has taken some great shots all over the Bridgeport, New Haven, Naugatuck Valley and Waterbury areas, let alone other areas of the county.
  16. Another reason for all of us to "RESPONDED WITH DUE REGARD". Just because we have lights and sirens doesn't mean we always have the right of way. Everyone keep you eyes open and stay safe! Hope the chief and all those involved have a speedy recovery.
  17. I'll have to check tommorow when I'm at home and try to research this better. I can't replicate the problem on my end. I'll get back to all of you once I figure out what the hcek is going on. Sorry for the slow response. Izzy

  20. Mike, your talking above where is says "Logged in as: your user name, ect correct? It sounds like it might be what screen size setting you are using on the computer. Try this and let me know how you make out. Click START -> Settings -> Control Panel On the Control Panel screen, double click on Display The next screen, click on the settings tab and where it says "Screen Resolution" see if it says 800 x 600. If it does, them move the slider over to the right one space so it reads 1024 x 786 and click OK. When the monitor resets, it might ask you to keep these settings, say Yes / OK. Let me know how you make out and get back to me.
