The reason I was told its missing is because the pump is being repaired / replaced and that is why the Hahn is not in service yet. That was form a question I has asked on Ed Burke's site.

Hey when you go down there, find out the status of thier new firehouse. I know they have been trying to raise funds for the building for a few years now. Have they had anumore luck towards groundbreaking?

Looks like I'm gonna have to get rid of my 4-track reel to reel and my collection of 33s, 45s, and 78s!!!

She's hot, wears as dress and carries a gun, but that still doesn't make me want to vote for McCain. I'm thinking on voting for Bill the Cat and Opus again this year. (Thank you Bloom County)

That truck was borrowed by Ansonia, CT when our old 1981 ALF was out of service and we used it for about 5 months. Shortly after we returned it, it was sold to Burtonsville.

OK some more information for you all. The reverend at this church had previously had problems with the local town police sitting in the church driveway running radar. According to another forum, the reverend came out and told the officer to move his vehicle off of the property. In CT, a police officer is not supposed to run radar while parked on private property (as I have been told and lead to believe). It seems this spot has been used quite a lot for intercepts as it has become a routine with everyone. Think of it this way, you own a private lot and the same thing happened all the time, say blocking your business parking area or home ect. and was never approached by the EMS agency asking “hey can we use this as a rendezvous point?” I think after a while you might get annoyed by it. Whether it is right or wrong for what the reverend of that particular parish is up to the eye of the beholder. I think he should have been more compassionate by what was written but of course this was a LETTER TO THE EDITOR and seems like a big (expletive) match going on here, only one side is being viewed. I’ll continue to find out more info. (PS I’m a good, Irish, Catholic, boy…. Note where the commas are! LOL)

I know several members from Mystic Fire and they are really fuming about this. Once again some YAN-KO kid pulled moronic move. By what I have heard also is that he was a "problem child" right after he started his probie period and they were looking to can him. Hopefully they get through this.

The basis of the article, though very poorly written and presented is the church in question does not want ambulances and paramedics parking in their parking lot performing a intercept. L & M Hospital runs their own paramedic service and routinely performs intercepts with incoming BLS ambulance services and "beaching" the medic truck in the lot. I had heard some buzz about this while I was working the other day and can only assume this is what was being talked about.

I just bought an iPod Classic 160GB player the other day to help me cope with my new truck being in the shop for the past week with a major electrical problem (just made that excuse to justify buying one!). So far I transferred half of my CD collection onto the iPod and still haven't put a dent on storage! So what do you use you iPod for? What is your playlist like? What is on mine (by artist) Alter Bridge, Audioslave, Breaking Benjamin, Cat Stevens, The Chemical Brothers, The Crystal Method, Depeche Mode, Ronnie James Dio, Disturbed, Dokken, Garbage, Godsmack, Gorillaz, (hed)P.E., H.I.M., Hurt, The Killers, Killswitch Engage, Los Lonely Boys, Luscious Jackson, Marilyn Manson, Metallica, My Chemical Romance, NIN, Paul Oakenfold, The Orb, The KLF, A Perfect Circle, The Police, Prong, Queensryche, Ra, Rammstein, Rob Zombie / White Zombie, Slayer, Royksopp, Run-D.M.C., Ryuichi Sakamoto (original member of YMO), Scorpions, Soul Asylum, Stabbing Westward, Stained, Static-X, Three Days Grace, Tool, Velvet Revolver, Winger and Within Temptation to name a few. What podcast do you check out?

That's ALF's Eagle design. All their cabs are like that.

Great shots. They love those mid-engine pumpers out there huh?

If I remember correctly, there was an article in an old FAJ stating that Newark wanted to get away from White over Lime with red stripe back around 2000. So they decided when they bought a new bunch of apparatus then they changed over to white and added the blue stripe. The had also received two ladders shortly there after one being all red with a black reflective stripe and a white over red. The members liked the solid red trucks and the department went with it. Now I'm only going off what I remember reading from the article and this may not be totally accurate. I'll see if I can dig it up.

LOL I guess that what happens after being a musician for 25 years!!! I'll be careful now because I just added my King Diamond / Merciful Fate collection into it!

DOC you young buck you!! Happy B-day.

I have officially become more dumb by reading this thread. Everyone needs to get their facts straight about everything!

I'm the same way but because of the design of the truck, there is no way they can be lined up. It happens but the fact the warning lights are there to do the job they are meant to do. I still love the fact its all white! Also to BCFD Engine members, just a question. Why did you all decide on the swing-down ladder rack instead of an enclosed ladder rack on the driver side compartments?

This incident happened in Philly about 3 weeks ago and was the subject of another post. I guess what happened was the truck was pulled out in front of the company's firehouse and the basket was being lowered and the pipe-knuckle touched the top power lines causing the fire. Moral of this story, always watch out for hazards before raising anything!!!!

Congratulations Mike!

What I'm more worried about is who are going to announce they are moving to Canada after the election. Wanna take bets? Also rule number 1, never talk about religion of politics, rule number 2, follow rule number 1.

What happened to the door on the ALF? Just curious. I love looking at the old fire scene photos, must have been a cooker.
