  1. Worked on it this morning and I'm about 90% clean now. My computer is not acting like a zombie anymore.
  2. Nice meeting y'all last night! I still say we should have introduced Patrick to the elusive North American Cougar!!!!! LOL Great time Rob! We all need to do something like this again!
  3. I'm still trying to clean my home 'puter up. Thankfully my laptop is up and running. Right now my home puter is a mess. Virus scans ect. I'm almost at the point where I might have to wipe out my main hard drive. Its a really nasty trojan. Usually I watch out for this crap but this time it got me.
  4. I drink responsibly!!! I don't waste or miss my mouth!!!! LOL
  5. Simple if he did not receive 51% of the vote or if no one voted for him, he cannot be placed into a position. It also depends how the company / department by-laws and constitution is written. Just because he is running unopposed does not mean he is awarded the position. A vote still has to be take. If there is no decision, then the position is still open and ballots have to be cast again. Since most organizations follow Robert's Rules of Order, there should be something in the book about this process. I'll see if there is anything on this.
  6. Still makes me feel how small we are in space but its definitely cool!
  7. I'll be there with a bell on!!!
  8. UGGGG!!!!!!!!!! I'm still gouging my eyes out!! Thankls for the re-occuring nightmare! LOL
  9. I operated Bolton, CT's 100' aluminum aerial ladder quint on the Velocity chassis at a recent aerial operator's class and it is one nice truck. The PUC though I'm not a big fan off as it seems to be more hype than function. I haven't seen one up close yet but I would like too soon.
  10. Hey, I just though of something (I know I'm not paid enough to think!) but what time are we going to start? 6ish????
  11. Yah, I know. But to see the way some of those patrons play then you'll understand.
  12. All the interesting stuff happens when I'm working and we don't hear about it!
  13. M'Ave, having driven around the city a bunch of times, I'm gald you guys drive with the lights onto a run especially how some of those pov drivers are down there! I hope everyone recovers quickly and they get back to work soon.
  14. Are they serving the new fangled thing called beer????? Ever hear of it before
  15. That 700 is really not that bad looking. See if you can talk them down especially if it is not running.
  16. Just for some clarification for everyone. They use the term "call firefighters" for both volunteer and part-time paid as they are called upon to the station. I beleive the P-town fireifghers get a tax stipend though I am not sure and are the only fully volunteer staffed department on the Cape. The other departments are either full career, career with paid call firemen or combination career / vollie. Also Mass departments like to use the term "permanent" for thier career firefighters. Line to P-Town infor on CAPECODFD.COM: http://capecodfd.com/PAGES%20Depts/21%20FD...rovincetown.htm
  17. Lionel is one of the best model train companies that are out there as well as American Flyer. If you are a serious rail fan and model, expense is nothing.
  18. I have a book called "Boston on Fire" and it details some of the great conflagerations the city had and covers the Coconut Grove fire in detail from owners, the patrons and workers, the fire and those responding and the aftermath. If you get a chance to read it its well worth it. I go to Boston every March and walk the "fire trail" they have.
  19. I beleive the box on the roof is a tool box. I saw an article in FAJ and if I remember correctly that was what was stated. Also I think the lightbar having both LEDs and the rotator would be more benifical as having two different light styles as it might catch the eye better than having one style of lighting. Kind of like different flash patterns.
  20. HAPPY B-DAY! We need more cowbell!!!!!
  21. The tanker is a 2002 Pierce / Kenworth 1000 gpm pump / 3000 gallon elliptical tank. The area in the town where the truck was responding is a non-hydrant area of the city. Both members are okay and are home after begin transported for evaluation. Tanker 59 is stationed at White Hill Fire Company No. 5, one of four station in Shelton.
  22. Seth, I've posted the web address but there is no hot link to it. Members will have to cut & paste the addresses into the web bar.
  23. The tanker it totaled and the investigation is continuing.
