Unfortunately it is possible becasue at that part of the evening, all the stop lights on the Route 1 side direction of travel flash yellow for a good number of intersections. I travel and know that area very well and it is easily to speed through there. Just a very sad situation for everyone involved.

The accident occurred on Route 1 (Boston Post Road) at the Orange / West Haven town line in front of the Target / Best Buy plaza. The Milford police officer was returning to the City of Milford from a mutual aid request from West Haven Police Department/ The officer was heading westbound on Route 1 when the other vehicle, heading east towards West Haven, crossed in its path making a left hand turn. I have never heard of that before. I don't believe so. That is only for site clean up for manufacturing I believe. I'm not 100% on that though.

Taxes are to provide the towns people with adequate protection. This if for the young kid driving 100 mph on the highway that crashes into a 8,000 gallon tanker truck carrying corrosive liquids causing the tanker's contents to spill out. Are your taxes going to pay for cleanup and replacement of the haz-mat gear utilized or should the kid and his insurance company be hit up for it? Yah, the news was reporting that there was a generator on outside of a Lake house and the exhaust was entering into the structure. Don't know if that was cause by the windiness of the weather or by human error.

I know it would be covered initally by the department's insurance company to replacement but that would be a really good question to look up if they(the other insuance company) could be billed for replacement.

I have once. It was on the exit ramp of a highway and guy jumped out quick though he set the parking break.

My home department has been doing this for a few years now with motor vehicle accidents and so far its is working well.

The HMMWV military version has always been separate from Hummer since producing the "civilian" model Hummers so it should not be any worry. Besides they do not make the H-1 civilian model anymore for quites some time. As for selling Hummer (GM) off to the Chinese, well its the sign of the times and we stil keep selling our companies overseas. What does that tell you?

It's them. Its got a lot of high use now, plus with all the "great new updates" they seem to be coming out with "it is improving the service". (Yes I am being sarcastic with the quoted stuff). Man It seems they went from simple to simply stupid updates in my opinion.

A leave of absence is just that, you are leaving for a specific period of time at your own request. LOA is not the same as a medical leave, school leave or military leave. A LOA is where you are leaving the company and cannot partake in any function usually meaning you are nto going to show up and will be inactive. It just seems odd that you can't come to visit the firehouse.

They don't have those rigs any more as I posted above, they were sold off about a year or two ago. It is in all of the news articvles with the embezzelment investigation because they sold them after they were donated to the company. As for them being disbanned I am not sure if they are, haven't yet or if they are trying to make a come back. They were trying to get a new building but those efforts seem to be stagnet since about 2003 / 2004. From other sites, they are currently not responding to alarms but that is going by that information.

Aviation 3 is / was one of the 10 chartered volunteer fire companies in NYC located in the Bronx. Prior to 9/11 their firehouse was demolished as they were using space in the neighborhood community building, which was condemned I believe. As posted above after 9/11 there have been a lot of changes / problems plaguing the organization. Right now from teh information I have come across they look like they will / are disbanded.

That Bronx Fire patrol has been a hot topic on other boards but they are not the remnants of the old NYFP. As for if they were members from Aviation Hose, that is a new one to me but they might be. Aviation by what I was told still exists but they are on the verge of disbanding. From the information I got, the only truck they have was the rebuilt ALF Engine 3 that was destroyed then rebuilt from 9/11 (it was an older FDNY rig they purchased in the 90's). I guess there were some shady dealings with the chief or the company's officers with selling off the trucks they received in donation (one E-One from Virginia and another purchased new). But as for them being part of the BFP, I never heard of it but it could be. I'll ask around on the other boards.

The state is the primary PSAP for cellphones along the highways and for all areas the CSP covers for police protection. 99% of the time when you call from a cell phone the call goes directly to the closest troop or to HQ on a rollover.

The problem is the nominee heard the case on the circuit court level and voted against the suit, siding with the city. I'm sorry but the case should be heard before she is confirmed or not. Here vote on the SC would be tainted since she heard the case before.
