The aerials are made by RK and look similar to a Smeal aerail design. By what I have heard RK area as good as any other aerial device. As for the HME / Aherns Fox truck I could not tell you.

We pay an annual dues of $10 for active and $15 for social members. Members who area retired from the company or have reached 50 year member status or have been honored with the title Honorary Captain are exempt. Our joining fee for our company is $2. We do have fines such as we have to attend three parades and if you are not excused by the parade committee then you are fined $10 per parade, you miss six parades in a row, you have to pay up your fines and turn in your class A uniform. If we attend other parade besides the three manditory those are not fined. There are small fines like vulgar language at a meetings and such but rarley does that happen. We do not fine for not attending drills, missing meetings, ect.

Do you have the scanner next to a computer or any ohter electronic equipment? That could be the problems too since a lot of chips and processors create interference in teh 30 to 60 MHz range. Try moving the scanner to a different location away from other electronics. Also since radio waves can also be blocked by otehr structures, hills, ect., moving it might help you get a better line of sight to the radio tower.

Thank you Dr. Spock (not the Star Trek guy, the baby doctor) for saying its not ok to swat your kids when they area bad. I very rarely got a swat on the backside but when I did I knew I messes up royally (only 4 times in my life I got a spanking)

They look both like the old FMC and Compac style cabs. They definately need some work on the design side but at leat the functionallty described seems reasonably up to date.

Res6cue is correct and I agree with him on this, the reporter never laid a hand on anyone. Obviously what is worng is worng but still the aftermath is going to be a nightmare for all involved.
-
Yah but now the guy has an assult record and since it was caught on film, more than likely the reporter will sue. And vice versa. This will be a total mess reguardless what we all think. Any chance of having credibility to his name now is trarnished if he was not involved with what the reporter was accusing.

It is a valid frequency per the FCC restructuring the VHF high band a few years ago. Do you have an old scanner?? If so it will round up narrow band frequencies(which this frequency is). You will still be able to listen to it though it is rounded up since only being .0075 MHz off. If you have say a 780. 785 or 795 Beacrcat, then you have to set the VHF spacing on the channel. If you have a newer scanner such as the 996 or 396 Bearcats, the frequency should automatically enter in. I was able to do it on my 780 and 396 no problem. My department's frequency is also in the same style spacing (156.1875 which rounds up to 156.1900 on older scanners).

According to SCANCT.COm, New Canaan's FD frequency in 155.8475.
