I think it is worth going away for 2 years think of how cooler the Intrepid will be when she returns. The sad thing is that I know alot of former crewmembers, by being a volunteer there and some I may not see again because as stated before they getting up there in age. My goal is to get there as much as possible before she leaves.

I have seen rigs that are not in service at the junkyard in elmsford. About buying used rigs well I thought alot of upstate towns bought old rigs either because they cant afford new ones or they just have no need for a brand new one.

Right now I am getting a new scanner because mine broke however the channels that I monitor are Hastings, Yonkers, Bronx and Manhatten frequencies, Dobbs Ferry, Ardlsey, Irvington , Elmsford, White Plains and Tarrytown Fire Departments.
