This one was a ride at Playland [Rye New York] until about 1968. Was never a fire truck but thought it mite fit here. On that note good buy , my last post !

Yes it is big news as the water company has raped the home owner for years. They charge over 700.00 dollars to inspect a hydrant yearly and most times drive right by them.

Hot sticks are you kidding ? all wires are LIVE, put tape around make it as safe as you can. We are not Con Ed. Chief gave them to us once and we gave them back. Hot sticks we don't need no stinking hot sticks !

Mark on the side mounted fire extinguisher, we have the same on Engine 58 but found that is to much room for the extinguisher to side within the compartment so we made a cardboard spacer to cut out the space behind the extinguisher and make up about 2 in.

Where were you in the lakes region, both of my engines are Port Chester New York [new] then Alexandra NH in the lakes region and have that decal on the Ward Lafrance.

Hal was a member Rescue 40 great guy and a great friend of mine. He brought along a US senator for a ride along before he died and they rode Rescue 40 Port Chester Fire Dept for the day and caught a busy day with my son at the wheel.

Heading back home to Port Chester for the big parade on sunday at 2 pm come join me and have a good time

This is the back of one of the shirts. It has my Ward LaFrance on it and the in service 1990 Pierce also a small logo on the breast
