  3. This is a recent picture that I took. A bit crowded, but the best I could do.
  4. THE 1970 MACK CF ENG 104 WAS BOUGHT BY PORT CHESTER IN 1993 TO REPLACE THE E-ONE $HIT BOX UNTIL THE NEW RIG CAME IN 1994. IT LEFT PORT CHESTER ON THE BACK OF A TOW TRUCK AFTER IT WAS HIT GOING TO A HURST TOOL CALL. RYE ENG 191 CAME TO PORT CHESTER TO REMOVE THE DRIVER WITH THE HURST TOOL. THE HARD SUCTIONS HIT CARS GOING IN THE OTHER LANES OF TRAFFIC
  5. Can anyone guess where this rig was in service when new? and what year and make. I have many photos of older rigs that I will put up from time to time to see if any of the members can get it right.

  9. OK you guys are good . It is fact the 1972 quint 2 from Elmsford. I arranged the sale of this piece back in 1994 when they needed a new ladder. IF you guys liked this topic will do it again. and yes that is old engine 62 1957 mack B95 in my profile

  17. PCFD ENG58 1990 - PRESENT. Been trying to fill E58RET shoes driving the [MIDNIGHT SPECIAL] the workhorse of the P.C.F.D..with the help of a lot of good firefighters from the dept. we are able to snuff out alot of fires before they get going.
  18. We are talking 1939 here. maybe the term Quint was not used yet. it is the first stab at it from Aherns fox . just a thought!
  19. Engine specs are now in the works for a new rig for engine 58 the 1988 grumman that has served well is very tried. it has had minor rebuilds over the years but its time has come as a front line piece.
  20. That is a rebid for eng 62, third time or your out. hope they get right this time! replacement for the 1981 CF mack. eng 58 will come around in june 08.
  21. Almost all towns and villages that have state roads within the town or village have a contract with the state to cover the part of the state road or help with the plowing/salting, like the boston post road that runs down the shore comm. from Port Chester to the bronx line.

  25. Well said 7 years with PORT CHESTER garbage before going over to F.D. 30,000 lbs a day. If you did a few years on garbage you will NEVER complain about your next job
