I would like to thank TR54 for putting up this photos for me, he has the right eq-ment to do slides. also thanks for all the well wishs I have recieved, still in bed but made a b-line to check out the latest news. ang

  7. I HAVE BEEN ASKED THREW THE CATSKILL FIRE CATS TO HELP JUDGE THE FIRE APPARATUS FOR THAT DAY . I ALONG WITH MY SON ARE PROUD TO HELP OUT .
  8. REMEMBER IT WELL. My dad woke me up just in time to see ladder 30 in route past my house, we lived on a hill with a good veiw of RYE'S southern end. we could see flames in the area of PLAYLAND . Then engine 60 from HQS followed by eng63 and eng 61 from the SOUTH MAIN ST sta. At least 3 and 1 from PORT CHESTER.

  11. HERE you go ENGINE 58 THE 1981 GMC E-ONE p o crap . they triyed to move it with a front end loader ,but the front end of engine fell off!
  12. When rye ladder 26 was sent home it had to go threw Greenwich to 95 south to RYE with the ladder about 13ft off the ground because of the ice buildup in the bed. PATROL 4 WENT BACK WITH A P.D. ESSORT because it was 14ft wide with all its doors frozen open with 2 ft of ice inside. LADDER 31 working the south east corner.

  15. AS promised 1950? GMC pumper. sold out of willow motors. Willow had the rights for the chassis and TASC sold the body. Photo taken in front of PORT CHESTER high school.
  16. 1954 WARD LA FRANCE that ran as engine 59 from 1954 to 1969. PORT CHESTER FIRE DEPT. One of four Wards that ran with the PCFD from 1948 till 1990. Will post more pic's soon.
  17. That is great news that the 39 was saved. In most case's It brings the membership together, old and new. I remember the 39 when we went up to get apples in the 60's. glad to help on parts if needed.

  20. The lime green c model mack that once ran as engine 127? has been saved. after a time upstate as target for rocks at a training center?? it is in circleville n.y. with many frends that will take good care of it.
  21. ALF was sold A while back. Not owned by D/ CHRYSLER any more.
  22. AS TR54 knows I have many boxs to go threw. out of work now I have time to go threw them with one arm . give me time and you won't be disappointed.
  23. IT will replace the last tiller for that company. there has be a tiller truck in PORT CHESTER back to the horse days.
