REMEMBER IT WELL. My dad woke me up just in time to see ladder 30 in route past my house, we lived on a hill with a good veiw of RYE'S southern end. we could see flames in the area of PLAYLAND . Then engine 60 from HQS followed by eng63 and eng 61 from the SOUTH MAIN ST sta. At least 3 and 1 from PORT CHESTER.

HERE you go ENGINE 58 THE 1981 GMC E-ONE p o crap . they triyed to move it with a front end loader ,but the front end of engine fell off!

When rye ladder 26 was sent home it had to go threw Greenwich to 95 south to RYE with the ladder about 13ft off the ground because of the ice buildup in the bed. PATROL 4 WENT BACK WITH A P.D. ESSORT because it was 14ft wide with all its doors frozen open with 2 ft of ice inside. LADDER 31 working the south east corner.

That is great news that the 39 was saved. In most case's It brings the membership together, old and new. I remember the 39 when we went up to get apples in the 60's. glad to help on parts if needed.

AS TR54 knows I have many boxs to go threw. out of work now I have time to go threw them with one arm . give me time and you won't be disappointed.

IT will replace the last tiller for that company. there has be a tiller truck in PORT CHESTER back to the horse days.
