It's all about the money, this boats have long been needed for what they cover. Because of 9/11 and the grants they got it became real ! Sad to see the old boats go after all these years of service.
-
So you can be bigger and badder then the next guy, even after 6 years you still don't know to pump it !

Officer ! whats that ? Do you mean two on the rig, somebody that can stop the rig in the event of a problem, what a novel Idea !
-
Anybody see this apparatus in person yet and if so what do you think about it !
-
That report is FALSE ! I personally spoke to the office of supply that specs out all rigs and after some issues with the Cat engines and the 7.5 gen they have no problems with the 8 front line PUC'S on the Arrow XT.
-

Good to here from you again, Lets see the 28 fox NS-4 ex eng64 was sold a to doctor in Scarsdale in 1948 who sold it to Aulburn Maine to be put back in service ,the 1955 Fox FC ex eng61 is on the cape wating to go to my place, the 1952 Amercan Lafrance ex eng63 was last in Armonk a few years ago almost made it back to puts but no place to keep it, ladder 30 1948 American lafrance 100ft tiller went to L.I. where they scraped the trailer and used the tractor to pull a race truck around , the 1954 American lafrance 100ft tiller was sold to AJ Quirk who sold the trailer to Hastings on Hudson to hook up to there newer lafrance tractor until the present 100ft tiller arrived 1985? then the Hastings/Port Chester ladder went to White Plains as spare until they got rid of it. The 1954 tractor cab was cut off to make the trailer for the Rye fire boat by AJ. All the old engine 58's and eng 59's where worn so bad that they did not survive except the 1969 Oren ex eng 59 that was seen by a Greenwich firefighter on vacation on route 80 somewhere in the mid west smoking on the side of the road in route to a trailer park in California.

Other Rescues like the Mount Vernon Mack C , Croton On Hudson, West Hemstead, and Linn Mass all had the Great looking model C.
-
Mack stopped making the C model in 1967 but a few late end of run rigs where titled 1968 when they where recieved by the companys that built the bodys that Mack did not make where put on, sometimes a year or so after the chassis was made.

I was told this was a 1948, First tiller we got! Bought it from Yonkers in 1979 after Yonkers finished using for tiller training for the new Alf's 100ft tillers that were coming in.
