The 1949 ALF 100 ft ladder was found in a field rusting away but still in somewhat good shape? in Clay County buy a bunch of photo nuts. You can see the current shots of it over on Firepics under the Relics page. Here it is in a parade in Port Chester in 1958. Photo from the PCFD ENG58 Collection.

When White Plains recieved those Fords ,cab and chassis went to DPW , Then from there they went for fire bodys, garbage bodys, dump bodys and so on, All chassis came in together. As for the dealer that covers our area for Smeal you can kept them. On a vist to them our truck committee was shocked to see them installing Home Depot parts on pump fittings right in front of us, we were not wearing any F.D. clothing and they didn't even try to hide it. We left and never went back !

It stopped raining this morning so engine 58 Port Chester was placed back in service today. This engine is two years overdue for replacment and is running on its last leg. The village garage is unable to locate any repair parts for the wipers that fall off when they are on. Things are normal in P.C.

Rye kepts there boat under water !

Two things, Why doors and not roll ups, you have the same type of response area as we have [ I=95 / parkway ] and I will never stand behind a door again to get tools out on the roadway . With lanes closed wtih buffer trucks, cones, flares, you know what can happen out there and now I need to get my eyes checked blurred vision from those photos maybe some better shots someday . Good luck with it as I know you work hard at what you do !
