Yes it does Happen ! to me as I gave a call to 60 control via a house phone call that I recieved at the watch desk. It was NEVER DISPATCHED and yes it was very busy but that is no excuese!

Dec 30th 1972. with the first Tower 2 being driven by the salesmen as it had just came into town a few hours before. It made 10 grabs before being overloaded at about 70ft!

With Gullivers [24 Dead ] still very fresh in our minds and then Stouffers [26 dead] six years later, my company [ Rescue 40 PCFD] with quite a few fire fatalities in other fires in Port Chester, we had dealt with over 70 dead in a very short time, talk about on the job training.

Yes I do and TR54 has them from the same 8mm film that I received back in the day? Crabtree was taken from ground shots while the high school was from a Helicopter on some shots from CBS News! I was at Crabtree on Mutual aid with engine 61 from Port Chester, Anybody see that motorcycle cop fly threw the air!

1974/5? Brockway 361 with a 671 Detroit Diesel/ 643 Allison transmisson Saulsbury body. a real workhorse!

I only went to one side, but they had actually no problem with a wide street in front and parking lots on three other sides. White Castle's rear lot alone had TL75 and Ladder 70 in it!
