  3. Walked into a room the other day when a few volunteer firefighters where playing a viedo game on the big screen, They were in a tank killing police officers! What kind of games are this and maybe we can start there. I walked out of the room and heard them say whats bugging him !
  4. Thats a J-12 12cyl being put back in as the mechanic is riding the back of the V block to lower it so it can slip by the turntable on that 700 Amercain Lafrance ladder 32. Did a few of those with A.J.Qurik back in the day!
  5. Is there something going on in Hastings about a new/used Rescue truck coming to or already there from a Conn. city ? Anybody know anything? or is this top secret !

  10. Hats off to Westchester County Dept's both Career and Volunteer who had a busy week with saving lives and property in all parts of the County. Kept up the good work that the people of this County reley on getting it done!
  11. Multi alarm fire at the A&P lower King st in downtown Port Chester in 1958 or so. Engine 58 [1944 Mack L-85], Engine 63 [1952 American Lafrance 700], and Ladder 31 [1954 American Lafrance 700 100 ft tiller] attack it from the side ! note the famous Texas lunch is across the street in the back ground .

  14. First floor storefront was a boat canvas,seats,and navytop store, very heavy fire load. Thats where the fire started lots of foam padding lots and lots. On arrival fire blowing out rear door where shop was locatied 50 feet into rear parking lot. The firefighter on the fire escape was part of a 2 man team, he was the first one out with the next one right on his heels. On arrival Engine 58 had 2 P.D. and one resident on that same fire escape. Fire never got into cockloft and roof never burnt off.

  17. Interior crew bailing out the front fire excape 2nd floor when they where cut off from the interior starcase, Eng 58 down to half of tank!
  18. Fire got into EX#2 in the rear but the dept did a fine job of kicking it out.

  23. 5 engines 1 Fox [last piston pumper made] 2 Ward LaFrances [complete] 2 Seagraves [ 1 in paint other getting new engine rebuild] so thats 5 Steve. plus a parts truck!
