As everyone know there are a lot of different EMS agencys out there paid/Volly/Privite My question is When you have a Pt in the back of your ambulance and you are transporting to the hospital and you come arcoss an accident. What can you do?? WHAT Should you do??? and a lot of ems agenicies have fly cars that follow the ambulance to the hospital should they stop and give treatment as the ambulance is still transporting Becuase your goal is to get the PT to the hospital!!! If you are transporting across State lines with a pt and on your return back to NEW YORK and you come across accident what can you do as a NYS EMT in a Different State as for treatment wise??? Just a couple of things that i have always been thinking about at work?? Thanks

Tis the Season for Boat calls and Medical Emergenices on the water. Just wondering What Departments have Marine Units and what can they be used for Rescue, Firefighting, Divers Medical Emergicies Do you have your boat in the water or do you tow your boat As per Verplanck we still operate a boat even know the big one sank but we still operate a small boat that we tow to the boat launch, To Lens Cove, Peekskill River Front, Steamboat Dock, or Georges Island The only problem is that is becomes Time Consuming Expecialy for a Real Emergency When People need our Help

I agree the Simple Nursing home calls off the road you do not need your lights on because you are just going to get everyone going lights on at a school during school hours you are going to get kids districted and bring the to you During our MCI DRILL that we had there was one thing i stressed with all Ambulance turn your lights off if your are not blocking road hazards. There should only be one vehicle on a MCI scene with lights on and that is the IC car so everyone can Identify it I believe Lights should stay on when it Creates Road hazards, To assist other vehicle to find you vehicle when need. and Finally to PROTECT ALL PERSONNEL ON SCENE. SAFETY FIRST. I'd rather lose an AMBULANCE, Fire truck, or Police Car than Emergency Personnel.

HEY Mike you know i have the Springvale cert after 3 years for the night time response you also have to add how can this be an RMA in under 5 mins and why did you wait till the middle of the night to call me when it happen yesterday morning.

I always give the bear min because half the time they zone you out and they are just going to ask you the same thing in about 5 mins any way. I let them know the pt age, sex, condition, and if they are back borad and collor so the can try to find the right room for the pt.

We are hurting our selves. If your are going to go do something stupid, take the fire shirts and buff gear off. The public is the one we are in service for. There are way to many black eyes out there on the fire service and it is making it way to TV (RESCUE ME) and that is where the public gets their ideas about the fire service. NOT GOOD!

Yes we are getting a new Rescue Pumper from E-ONE it is going to replace E-128 and Rescue 42. The new truck is going to be equipt with new cutters and jaw the truck will have the access to have two trucks in one and the color will be RED Just joking it is going to be the Verplanck PRIDE GREEN lol Any new info I will let everyone know.
