  4. RIP. Brother, when you weep for me, Remember that it was meant to be. Lay me down and when you leave, Remember I’ll be at your sleeve. In every dark and choking hall, I’ll be there as you slowly crawl. On every roof in driving snow, I’ll hold your coat, and you will know. The house from which I now respond, Is overstaffed with heroes gone. Men who answered one last bell, Did the job and did it well. As firefighters we understand, That death’s card dealt in our hand. A card we hope we never play, But one we hold there anyway. That card is something we ignore, As we crawl across a weakened floor. For we know that we’re the only prayer, For anyone that might be there. So remember as you wipe your tears, The joy I knew throughout the years. As I did the job I loved to do, I pray that thought will see you through.
  5. It is right off of the TSP - 20 minutes TOPS
  6. Justin - the picture of Lt. Levin descending Ladder 1 is one of my favorites of all time. If you know Eric - that picture captures his personality 100 percent. It exudes "ghetto fire officer"....

  10. A DIFFERENT kind of "junk fire"
  11. Looking good! I should have used "disect" in place of "tear apart".
  12. At the risk of highjacking this thread, I don't care if the pics of ANY fires are action packed or not - I enjoy seeing them for the quality, and more importantly - to learn from them. These EFFD pics are not of a major worker, but still they capture me -I LOVE to look at each member in a picture and tear it apart - what gear are they wearing and how? What tools do they have? Apparatus placement? How did the fire effect the building? How did the building react to fire? The Command Post...ANY tips I can pick up. I enjoy seeing the PFD pics to see people and how they work - to put faces to names... No matter how simple - I enjoy all of your pics.
  13. I looked through this gallery on your site Bill - very nice series. Obvious manpower shortage in the begining - good stop despite that. Good work EFFD. Will you be posting any from the PFD job?
  14. Thanks Chief - wanted to talk some, but you looked preoccupied with people with WAY more bugles than I have!
