I claimed a small amout for uniforms (the City does not require we wear uniform pants, so they do not provide them, but I do), and my volunteer tax credit ($200). I did not deduct mileage or any of that crazy stuff... i will be keeping MUCH better track in 09...

yes...it's crazy for sure....thank goodness for a good working relationship with DC911...the dispatchers working County are on top of things for us. it is greatly appreciated... They'll be chasing smoke for a while now...but can't take the risk of not sending a company or two...
