If it's the Dave McDonald I know...he was most likely just trying to see the 1 percent.......LOL!

If it is that much of an issue, dont run red lights/siren and drive code 3.

Wait...you got up for an AFA, but slept in for a worker? W T Blazes!?

Should have clarified that - I knew it was a newer, not quite McMansion style...
-
I do not know. There are actually a few series floating around, including some by a member here....I am sure he will post them. I am curious about the construction of the building and if it was a major factor in the heavy volume of fire on arrival...

I've seen pics and wow....fully involved upon arrival is an understatement....

Well said Mark! Please keep the Sartori's, their family, and JHK in your thoughts.

Looks to me like they were headed north on 22, which is paved, then hit the pole, soun around and ended up in the field....just guessing. The "dirt road" is just the field edge used to drive around it by farm equipment, not for travelling

It is becoming more common for departments to differentiate between exterior/interioir fire members.
-
Dont wqorry - I am not burning it this week....still have 16 more hours in my 84 hour week~ When it does go - it will be a burn detail, so my Brothers get some points...and I dont burn my shed down.
-
And I have a huge pile to burn!
-
Some neighboring departments by me do the same as far as the shields go, but let me ask you this - does the orange signify probationary, or exterior? I always just thought a probie was an exterior member till they got off, then they could start "goin' in".....but I had my eyes opened by a good department here in Dutchess, who uses the orange/probie shield ID system, but at a multi alarm fire, he was packed up, with tools, a light, the whole 9. It hit me....just because a member is on probation, doesnt mean they cant fight fire...it all depends on the level of training. Thank you Beekman. To answer the question, if it even has an answer...it depends on the person joining up. The sooner you can get your basic qualifications and some time under your belt - the better your chances are to be a full fledged firefighter as soon as possible.

That WAS cool.....very nice work. 2 comments...... 1. If you want to attract a crowd, put a camera out....people will stand in front of it all the time... 2. Nice sweater.......

I had seen that and was pretty amazed.... I would certainly have words with the driver, as well as the "videographer"...and most likely would put my foot up the officer's a**..
