  1. I will try to get a better pic of it...hard to see with no camera screen..LOL Tell me that dude on the right ain't SOME BIG!?
  2. Thats it...Dover 36-14 in a nutshell... I must say that I REALLY, REALLY like this rig and it's potential! Be nice to see it uptown! LOL
  3. Here is a hint....comparing driver side to officer side;
  4. Officer's side cab; Notice anything missing?
  5. Top of the body...the attic ladders are on the left side, pike poles on the right... Command Light on cab roof
  6. LOTS of stainless steel here..but it beats diamond plate. Plaque featuring some pretty spectacular guys accounting for an amount of fireground experience of biblical propoertions. All but one are highly respected around here and the area..the other is no longer active..
  7. Officer side, forward most compartment, losts of goodies in here... 3 slide out boards. Struts? Shovels Broom (handles are in rear compartment) Tripod for LED light seen in cab Irons Come Along Peircing Nozzle 2200 Air Tanks Little Giant crazy ladder
  8. Officer's middle compt; Didnt know we had these..but we do! Airbag compliment. Air reel another electric reel Air chisel 4 Spare SCBA bottles
  9. On to the Officer's side.. Rear most compartment; Lots of stuff here, shows the diversity of the calls this squad runs.. Portable Generator for extrication tools Misc haz mat stuffs Drinking Water Brooms for brush fires and clean up and it looks like maybe an on board air compressor? Didnt even see it till now..
  10. Rear of the Squad; Tool Kit Dry Chems (BIG ones) Electric reel and junction box Other Misc Stuffs I do NOT like the fact that the only hooks are on top of the rig, left side. Looks to be 8 and 10 footers...fiberglass handles. This truck needs 2 steel halligan roof hooks somewhere on board. And a stokes basket... Also up top are 2 attic ladders and 2 lengths of suction
  11. Rear most compartment; Extrication tools; Spreader and cutter on pre-connected reels Also a ram and a smaller cutter Sawzalls, tarps, speedy dry
  12. Middle compartment; Ropes and associated gear Defibrilator EMS Gear 4 Spare SCBA bottles
  13. On to the compartments...all roll up doors. First compartment, Driver's side; Tech Rescue helmets, flares, misc hose thingees, slide out board with hand tools. Composite cribbing is stowed in the under compartment.
  14. Pump panel...pretty self explanatory...looks simple right? I might even be able to run this one..LOL Up top is the generator and backboards. Lines need solid bore knobs though....
  15. Mounted inside the cab are handlights, an LED scene light, and SCBA. Up top is a Command Light tower And we will NEVER forget.
  16. Starting with the cab, driver's seat; Then to the backstep seat, driver's side. This rig has seating for a driver, Officer, and four firemen.
  17. I snapped a few pics of lids today at a live burn..always been fascinated with fire helmets and the story they tell. I collect them as well. Feel free to post up your own helmet pics. Milan, NY Lieutenant
  18. I picked up these three random front devices at the Springfield show recently...I think they were selling for 3 for $10.. I liked the Arlington one best...too bad it wasnt white. Obviously NOT the Poughkeepsie Arlington.
  19. Please do, I will send in some money. Elvin is a HELLUVA good guy and I wish him well. Years ago when we worked a Tac Bus together, he gave me an old, authentic Halligan bar that he got from a guy in his building who retired from the FDNY. Apparently he was nicknamed "The Locksmith"...LOL I still have that bar in my camper..only way to get it on the hitch right..
  20. Disapointed. I love Jay Z's work, but just the fact that he is collaborating with a DOOSHBAG like Kanye, let alone making a criminal an icon, disapoints me trmendously. Now if I cna just keep my boy DMX out of prison long enough to make a record.........
  21. Depends.. The Lieutenant front and the "36 Truck" I am currently wearing came from thefirestore.com. The Boston style was made by Handtub Junction I will most likely use F and T Products in the future as thier work is unmatched by most. They will even make custom finials..like Boston did. http://www.leatherfronts.com/default.htm The master of hand painted shields is no doubt Bob Stella; http://www.helmetshield.com/ Some of my old shelds were authentic Cairns, which I feel are a better quality then the ones from TFS. Here is a Cairns front worn for 4 years when I served as Lieutenant and my FF shield worn for many more years, both FDNY passport stylye; Last pic is the Cairns Passport frmae with a thefirestore insert;
  22. I had the chance to attend a parade this past Saturday with my family, as my Wife and Son were marching in the band they belong too. MY department did not march, so I was able to watch...however, I had our 3 year old daughter with me, so most of my attention was with her...lol I am NO Bill Johnson, nor do I have a great camera...just a point and shoot...but any picture is better than no picture. BUT FIRST - A PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT. NO matter how cool you think you look, wearing your bell cap backwards is DISRESPECTFUL TO YOUR UNIFORM, YOUR DEPARTMENT, AND THE FIRE SERVICE AS A WHOLE. For the life of me, I can NOT figure out why people do this!? These are JUST the guys I saw before the parade...there were TONS MORE like this afterwards at the food tent... (Disclaimer; YES, I am a dick, YES it bothers me THAT much, and NO, I had nothing better to do)
  23. Here is a pic i just refound that I took years ago. This was a vacant bowstring truss commercial that the owner renovated. To look at it today, you can not tell from the street that is is a truss roof. I have to find more pics, I have them somewhere. It is located opposite our station. The second pic is how it looks now - taken from google earth street view with my cell phone...
